Didn't make any difference.

you mean like how ronnie never beat dorian?  or even came close.

as bad as dorian's arms look in that pic, he is still bigger and harder.

maybe there are several reasons why you dont go to a gym and instead utilize the privacy of your bowflex in the living room?

you are a sick man and need help.

i disagree.

lets' use flex wheeler to settle this.

in 93, flex calls dorian untouchable and raises his hand in victory.

in 99, flex says nothing about ronnie - other than that flex should have won and turns his back to the crowd.

93 is widely recognized as one of the most dominating performances of all time.

as great as ronnie was in 99, it was nothing special.  just another year.

and now you fall into ND's tired routine of taking opinion over the harsh reality of the misguided judging system at the time: quantity over quality

why are you using "flex's opinion" when you can use your own damn eyes? Even in 93 dorian had crappy arms and quads.

arms and quads.

not forearms and side head triceps..

you are really cornered this time: you have to deal with the reality that the judging system was flawed during dorian's reign.

the proof is piling up to the point of toppling over:

you're still missing the point.

i have looked at the pics and flex agrees with my confirmations.

no one agrees with you.

not the judgesm, writers or other competitors.

the only one who agrees with you is someone who refuses to even set foot in a gym.

where is the bowflex located then?

i dont think my arms are bigger than yates, but can you give me some training advice?

i was thinking about some supersets with power rods.

can you show how effective they are with some pics.

didnt think so.

excuses, excuses.

arent those the same judges that also judged ronnie?

can you provide a list of the judges and see if there are any different names for 92-97 vs. 98 and on?

this would be called evidence instead of making up excuses and denying everything whether it be first hand reports from the writers (even the non weider writers) and the competitors (even the ones that were no longer competing and had ZERO ties to weider).

yes, and they had ronnie lose twice while mr. Olympia, as he should have.

they never did with dorian, even when he should have in his horrible looking post tear years.

why?

because fans were sick and tired of the crappy "mr. O can show up 500 pounds fat and untanned and still win" bullshit that had plaged the sport since 1980.

It just so happened that Ronnie was the guy in the top spot at the time.

No doubt if they were reversed and Ronnie was Mr. O. from 92-97, he too would have never lost and it would have been dorian that lost in 2002 and 2006.

the judging was much more fair in the 2000's

why can you not see that?:

everyone else seems to be able to.

ronnie lost in 2006 and rightfully so.

dorian should have lost in 94 and 97. but didn't.

A few comparisons:

To me, in those comparos, Yates is harder, and more conditioned, whereas Coleman has more separations and is more aesthetic.

not only do i ont see that, but nor have i read it from any source whether it be online or in a mag (even the non weider ones).

sure, most will say that the 90's was the era of size. but yates wasnt the biggest and i didnt see anyone say he didnt deserve to win.

have you seen the 97 video vs. crappy pics online?  no, you havent.  if you did, then you would agree with nasser and mcgough that yates deserved to win.

your entire world centers on "if"...

ronnie lost a few times as mr. olympia, but also remember the 40 + times he lost beforehand (and soon to be now).

there is a reason.

yates became a pro and was immediately a winner.  there is also a reason.

its time to deal with the facts and reailty, instead of your speculation and "what if's."

thats only because you didn't follow bodybuilding in the 90's.

Musclemag was critical of dorian's wins in 94, 96 and 97.

you mean the perfect scores and 1st place victories?

ie, the judges didnt agree with your assesment.

more denial.  more excuses politics, weider, etc., etc.

acutally, i do have th 97 mm Olympia report.

there was some talk about dorian's gut and waist being big - which it was- but it said nowhere that he should not have won.  samething with flex.

yates may have been off from his best in 94, but he was still the best man in the show.  also confirmed by shawn.

another thing you are in denial about.

contracts back then arent what they are today.

the sports supplement industry was just starting to pick up.

now, everyone, including guys who dont even go to the gym, but instead use a bowflex in the basement, use hydroxcut, creatine, etc.

my point is that shawn made most of his money from appearances.

he was also under contract with other companies.

he could have survived without weider.

besides, shawn has been vocal in the past about the judging - totally going against what you claim about how the bbers MUST openly agree with the judges/weider.

owned.

Dorian has Ronnie on lower back and mid upper back thickness. Overall back though, Ronnie wins, barely.
