I've got to throw my 2 cents in here also.
Ronnie 1999 at prejudging was and may be forever
the greatest bodybuilding physique. He was 10 pounds heavier
than 1998 and 2001 AC and IF his condition was better at those two shows
it was so miniscule that it was negligible compared to the extra 10
pounds of muscle he carried in 1999. He couldn't have been much more
ripped as the pic shows.

his calves wouldn't be considered out of proportion.
Later on as he got heavier the proportion in calves
to thighs became much more of a problem...

no, most of the people who believe ronnie was better also feel he was better conditioned (at least in 98/99 or the AC).

the fact that ronnie was so much more striated, vascular and dry is a big reason why many feel he was better.

no he doesn't. thats the point. there is very little delineation at all between the muscle groups - a fact that the dorian fans used to try and fault ronnie on before all these 99 shots came out. Now it has come back to bite them in the ASS.

says you. What do you base your observation on? To me, Ronnie looks harder than Dorian. My reasoning? Ronnie has more separations and striations, which are correlated with better conditioning, than Dorian.

Dorian's hardness in this 1995 shot is simply unbelievable. He seriously looks like a solid 260lb brick of muscle! Ronnie had better separate, but was never this hard or conditioned.

I really don't like the way ronnies muscularity looks.
He looks like an overinflated balloon. The muscle doesn't look layered... it looks like it's being inflated from the inside out.
