explain Coleman over Cutler 2001 , shoot you can't even claim this one wasn't fixed Ronnie himself knows he's second , again you can't have it both ways .
I have a feeling that if Ronnie had used the same drying out process
Jay had used in 2001 it wouldn't have been such a question mark
on Ronnie's career, although Jay looked awesome that year. (Whether that drying out process was not drinking water for 3 days as Jay claims or taking a banned diuretic.) They have footage
on the BFTO 2001 the day after the O and I think it is the best footage of Jay ever.
I've never been a fan of his physique but he looked incredible in that footage.
Subsequent to the mandatory drug tests that took place at the Olympia Weekend of October 26/27, 2001, the IFBB was informed that two samples had tested positive for banned diuretics.
As a result of this information, the IFBB took the initiative to scrupulously examine the drug-testing procedures that took place at and around the 2001 Olympia Weekend. After completing this investigation, the IFBB is confident that each and every one of the steps called for in the protocol of drug testing were meticulously followed at the event itself.
They were allowed to keep their placings but..
We consider this decision to be one based on a pure technicality and in no way reflects on the integrity of the lab used by the IFBB, nor does it question the testing procedure followed by the IFBB at the 2001 Olympia Weekend. The IFBB is committed to following its official federation guidelines and bylaws to the letter.
Jay said...
Backstage, even I wasn't my talkative self. I was going through a lot of pain and anguish.
Why?
Because I didn't drink for three days. It was just a lot of strain on me. I was almost out of it. After I posed in the evening, I just laid down backstage. I was starting to cramp and I didn't want to drink and I didn't want to eat any more than I had to, because you know that your body can just go out of whack from the smallest thing, and I didn't want to push it. I just wanted to get through that night show and just be done with it.
One things for sure... Jay was drier than Ronnie.
As far as the 2nd place sign or peace sign only Ronnie knows for sure.
He's smiling in the pic and if you contrast that with how angry and upset he looked
when he thought he was going to lose in 2006; it makes it much easier to believe he
was flashing a peace sign to a friend. I believe he would have reacted much like
he did in 2006 if he thought he was going to be in 2nd place.
I think this pic shows why Ronnie would have to be off and Jay would have
to be dead on to defeat Coleman. This is a straight on shot with no funky angles
that shows the difference in structures. I wouldn't have had a problem with Jay winning
in 2001 because Ronnie was off but when Ronnie was on there was him and then everyone else.
Very much the same as Yates in his time..Flex was the one who had the best chance @
beating Yates and he always left his best condition at the Arnold Classic's.
