Yates and Schwarzenegger were both better and more dominant in their times. Coleman's win percentage is way down and even during his Olympia reign he was very vulnerable and people like Levrone felt they could beat him at any moment. Coleman also faced some of the worst competition in the history of the sport towards the end of his career.
You have to quantify and qualify what makes someone the greatest of all time. Which contests do you have to win? Some would suggest that Arnold's Olympia wins aren't enough, because the Mr. Olympia WAS NOT ALWAYS CONSIDERED the best contest on the planet. Remember that Sergio is a three-time Mr. Olympia. But, one of those Os, he got uncontested. Arnold faced nothing but scrubs at the 1971 Mr. Olympia, as those bodybuilders who would have really challenged him got beat by Bill Pearl at the NABBA Mr. Universe, considered the biggest show in the world at that time (thus getting suspended from the Olympia).
lee haney 8-0 case closed!
arnie 7-0
dorian 6-0
ronnie 8-2 equalls 2 time loser, the stupid idiot should have retired when that piece of shit lat started deflating..
ronnie could not dominate his field like the other 3.
scoring controversy surrounded half of his wins , while haney easilly won all 8 with no one even close besides gaspari 1 yr.
Your numbers are wrong, on this one, slayer.
Haney: 8-1 (89%) - He placed 3rd his rookie year to Samir Bannout and Mohammed Makkawy
Schwarz.: 7-1 (88%) - He placed 2nd to Sergio Oliva, at his first Olympia.
Yates: 6-1 (86%) - His first Olympia, he placed second as well, to Lee Haney.
Coleman: 8-7 (53%) - Ronnie placed "16th" at his first Olympia in '92. He would go on to place 15th, 10th, 6th, and 9th, before getting his first win. And, as you know, he placed 2nd and 4th in the last two Olympias.
Of course, if we're going by sheer Olympia winning percentage, the greatest of all time is Larry Scott, which means the greatest of all times (Olympia-wise) would be, based on number of wins out of number of attempts:
Scott - 2/2 (100%)
Haney - 8/9 (89%)
Schwarz.- 7/8 (88%)
Yates - 6/7 (86%)
Coleman - 8/15 (53%)
All the other Mr. O winners are under 50%.
