his upper chest could be bigger. It looks like it's missing.

You have to remember that Yates has a deeper rib cage than Coleman, which sometimes makes his chest look smaller in certain poses. In no way was Yates' chest under developed.

I only chime in here from time to time but I still stand my
ground that the 1999 Mr. Olympia showed the best bodybuilding
physique on or off stage. As more people are expossed to his great
combination of size, shape, condition and aesthetics of that year, the
more people realize how great he was in 1999.

The main thing that bothers me about this whole thread is how much
emphasis is put on what one man says; that man being Mr. McGough.
Although very respected and VERY knowledgable about bodybuilding,
he is also personal friends with Dorian and also just one man in a mass of other
bodybuilding experts.

I recently found the 1999 Mr. Olympia report from Musclemag International
and pulled some comments from videos on youtube.
My 2 cents to add to my opinion...

Natural Mr. Olympia - John Hansen

When Ronnie won his first Mr. Olympia contest in 1998, it was one of the most exciting victories in the sport's history. His biceps, back and chest are absolutely incredible and nearly everyone agrees that he owns the Rear Double Biceps pose in this sport. Many people in the sport have also talked about the fact that Ronnie Coleman may be the best Mr. Olympia ever!
Last year, Ronnie was about ten pounds heavier and he was just as ripped as when he won the contest the first time in 1998.

Musclemag International 1999 Mr. Olympia Review By Johnny Fitness

Ronnie was gargantuan, herculean, and every adjective in between.
He was ripped, sharper than last year, and filled with a champions confidence.

excellent post.

I wonder what ND will do now that he has a magazine quote stating Ronnie was sharper in 99 than in 98? LOL

finally believe what he sees like we all do?

my guess is he will ingnore this quote and just keep posting something Peter McGough said..

ND is the only person who really who puts emphasis on McGough.

of course he has to because everything else shows how much better 99 Ronnie was than dorian.

its the only thing on his side.

Yeah, it's not like you relied on McGough's 01ASC quote for what, about a year?  ::)

I'm also waiting for explanations of how Ronnie won in 01 and 02 including being booed off stage in 02.

i have NEVER relied on a quote.

I rely on visuals.

I posted the Peter quote as an in your face mock of ND, and it obviously worked:

I own him so bad he won't even post on this thread anymore.

he is a coward in every sense of the word.

Actually, no. Yates owned Ronnie on 8 separate occasions. Ronnie never owned Yates and never would have if they both competed against eachother in their primes.

most people, including PM, ronnie, greg merritt, etc. state that ronnie in 01 AC is the best ever - not the 99 olympia.

personally, i think its close.

ronnie was fuller at the 99 olympia, but in better condition at the AC.

take your pic.

either way, i'd take yates in 93 and maybe 95.

exactly.

what about being booed in 01?

yates wasnt even booed in 94.

hulkster and bowflex are notorious for posting the worst pics of yates not flexing vs. digitally and even fake pics of ronnie.

LOL, if you call having great arms, delts, chest, small waist, huge lats, insane V taper etc. and striations all over bad, then why should people take you serious? LOL.

Arms? sure, he's always had those, did him no good 8 times against Yates. The midsection is grotesque with alien abs and a film of water. The lats, while the biggest of his peers, look thin and miniscule compared to Yates. Yates' puffed out like a hot air balloon.

that shot was from 97.

notice how before i mentioned that you primarily post pics of yates either not flexing or backstage.

by they way, its getting warmer out, you may want to update to central air conditioning instead of relying on the units in your windows where you live in the housing projects.

OWNED.

(ps - for anyone not understanding that - check the earlier pages of this thread where pumpster posted his "home gym" which was full of bowflex equipment, dirty walls, and everything else you'd expect the projects too be.)
