wtf? I posted that a month ago and you already responded to it.
anyway, I see you typed a different reply this time. So I'll respond to you.
False. MuscleTime had Heath winning the Olympia. Wheeler had Ronnie winning the pre-judging at the 2006 Olympia.
You cite one source and try to discredit all the rest with it? Are you saying Peter McGough and Lonnie Teper are incapable of judging physiques? Furthermore, I already said I don't consider Flex Wheeler a bodybuilding expert.
Yes, and that makes all the difference. An I.F.B.B judge saying who would win between Dorian and Ronnie at their respective bests carries weight because his word is relevant to what would happen, whilst an expert's isn't.
I disagree. The only difference between a judge and a bodybuilding expert is the former determines placings. That's it. They don't have a secret manual or special powers that set them apart from everyone else. I don't see how this makes "all the difference" as if their opinion is infallible but those of bodybuilding experts are.
No, I am saying that his opinion wasn't relevant before and now it is. Big difference.
and this is relevant, how?
But the difference is that I actually have a quote from an I.F.B.B judge, whilst you don't. So the fact that I have one quote from a judge and you have zero puts me ahead of you. I have a quote that is relevant as to the Dorian vs Ronnie argument; you have a bunch of quotes that aren't relevant. So, until you present a quote from another judge stating the contrary, then my quote serves as evidence to support the contention that Dorian would win. We will never have the opinion of all judges, so who has the greater number of opinions as to who would win from them wins, and in this moment I am winning.
ha ha ha, big deal. How about a quote from the founding father of modern bodybuilding?
Joe Weider - IFBB Co-Founder"Many experts, including reigning Mr.Olympia, Jay Cutler, believe that at his best Ronnie has the greatest physique of all-time. When looking at pictures of Ronnie from the 1998 Mr.Olympia, I find it hard to argue with that."
this coming from a guy who organized the IFBB from scratch. If anyone should know the judging criteria, it's him.
How Joe and Ben Weider Became the Founding Fathers of Bodybuilding"The Weiders wanted a contest that was respectful of the individual and of the discipline of lifting, and so developed a sport by having competitors pose in front of judges to determine who had the most balanced muscular build."
http://www.getbig.com/articles/faq-wdr.htmNo, it doesen't carry weight. And Dorian stated that his conditioning and balance would be superior, and that it would be "up to the judges". And the size thing he was refering to the 2003 Olympia, when Ronnie's balance and conditioning were at their worst compared to Dorian's: it poves nothing regarding Ronnie's 2001 ASC and 1999 Olympia forms which you gys love so much to worship.
wrong. The words of bodybuilding experts do carry weight, especially in a subjective sport with an absence of quotes from judges relevant to Dorian vs Ronnie at their primes. So suck it.
Team Flex – http://www.flexonline.com/training/49"We've said before that the 245 pounds or so physique with which [Ronnie Coleman] won the 2001 Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic is the best ever - unbeatable."
Lonnie Teper - MD, December 2005"I've always said that it's too hard to compare athletes of different eras (then he names a few Mr. Olympias including Dorian). Still, it's hard to imagine that anybody who's ever stepped on a bodybuilding stage could have beaten Coleman. So I reserve the right to change my mind on this one. No offense to the rest of the champs - you were/are all truly amazing physique athletes - but Coleman has really taken it to the next level, as all magnificent conquerors do."
Raymond Cassar – Muscletime Editor and Photographer"There is no one alive that can beat Ronnie Coleman when he is at his best - No One! (and his best for me was when he won the 2001 Arnold Classic)"
Milos Sarcev - European Flex, April 2004"Chris Lund who I consider to be a great expert in our sport of bodybuilding, told me that Ronnie is simply the best bodybuilder he has ever seen, or photographed, and he has seen everybody, during the last 35 years."
"Ronnie Coleman is absolutely phenomenal, and I really mean that. I would also agree with all the experts who believe that he is the best bodybuilder of all time. However, I don't think he has the most aesthetic body of all time, but having said that, he certainly is the best (for IFBB pro judges) in bodybuilding."
Hollis Liebman - Former Fitness Editor and IFBB Official"The era of the big man would commence with Lee Haney (1984-1991), whose formidable torso would dominate the lineup for 8 straight years and was then elevated by Dorian Yates (1992-1997), whose back and overall conditioning upped the ante yet again until an alien named Ronnie Coleman (1998-2005), in all likelihood the greatest bodybuilder of all time, would redefine the sport bringing a near 300 pound contest ready physique to the stage."
