maybe 1996 but other years they looked on par to me, maybe your used to looking at Ronnie to much and forget what real calves are supposed to look like.
Not only Ronnie, but the rest too. I always saw Dorian's calves a bit too overpowering for his upper legs from the front after 1993. Its because his quads look or appear to be narrow.
I don't really see Dorian's quads a flaw, seeing how they were still ultra big and diced, plus it stood out in a good way esp side leg.
Yes, they were big and conditioned, but they had an odd shape and lacked sweep.
Yes, they looked good from the side, but my point is they look narrow from the front and sometimes from the back too. This makes them a bit imbalanced in comparison to his torso in my opinion.
you act like Ronnie was like 100 more pounds then Dorian when in reality they were around same poundage's.
They may have weighed the same (I even think Dorian was a bit heavier), but my point is that Ronnie looks bigger and more muscular than Dorian. Maybe its his small joints, full muscle bellies, tie-ins or any other reason, but Ronnie has the visual advantage of looking more impressive than Dorian. Same reason why Flex looked more impressive than Nasser evene though being several pounds lighter.
no anti Dorian people say that to have an excuse on why Dorian beat their hero's, but in reality it was his conditioning, balance, presentation, and size mixed into one.
Honestly, I have read Dorian fans on different forums and even here say the following thing: from the front the competition matched up or even beat Dorian, but when he turned around it was over.
Meaning it was his massive back that gave him the edge.
