These videos just prove my point. Dorian's quads look narrow from the front in almost all poses, compared to his massive calves makes the overall leg development look a bit unproportioned from the front.

In the 1996 video his legs were massive especially from the side and back, but from the front they looked narrow. Even though they were big too, the underdevelopment of his "vastus lateralis" muscle makes them look narrow.
Plus, freeze the image at 0:49 and see.

In the 1995 video its even more noticeable, compare Shawn's quads with Dorian's quads in the ab&thigh pose.
