Why isn't anyone making a moon bench today?

I know that this is just a troll thread, but I’ve seen this bench in gyms with older equipment and have wondered about its purpose. Like you, I assumed that if it’s not found in newer gyms it might be outdated or not useful. On the other hand, maybe it takes up too much space that could be used for a multipurpose bench. Does anyone here actually use it?

Not having a Half Moon Bench in the cellar would be akin to not having a fridge in the kitchen or a toilet in the bathroom.

The Y that I went to ages ago had one.

Seriously, I don't see why they aren't still made.

If I had to guess it's because stretching the ribcage is now considered not a good idea for bodybuilders.
