I never had a dog, I like them, and I know I would get very attached to one. But I don't really get the saying, "they're better than humans." If they are better than human it's because they aren't humans. I think there's a big difference between a dog and a human, so how could you ever compare them? And if they're "better" in some way it still doesn't necessarily mean we should ape their behaviors, like getting attached to anyone, no matter if it's Pol Pot, Satan, a pedo, even Hitler (the ultimate evil) lol or whatever. I do wish humans would be more loyal but because they can reason it doesn't work that way  We want unconditional love but with humans there are always conditions.

Check this one out, man. He was my first dog as an adult. My mum had taken him to get professional photos done as a surprise before I deployed. He was still a puppy here, and he wouldn't listen to anyone but me. She said she had an absolute nightmare getting him to sit still for 2 seconds. I can tell by his expression that he was in full rampage mode when that picture was taken, lol.

They all turned out to be a kind of dark charcoal grey when we visited them (thought it was the camera til I held the little buggers)  - so maybe a 'Morning Suit' rather than a Tuxedo in the end
