Why were you tossed out of the military? 

I jogged about 50 feet pulling my son on the beach 2 years ago. Other than that this was my first run since the Army. I was on a cane for a while. I did not walk well for a long time. It took a lot of work to build back up to this. I honestly wasn't sure I was going to make that run I started slow to see how it felt. Knee felt really weird last night I was worried I wouldn't be able to walk today but it's actually ok.

The Army separation authority (Secretary of the Army) can discharge a soldier when the reasoning is not covered under any other provision. Under this discharge a soldier could petition to be released from the Army because of a ‘change in personal lifestyle’, as it is often referred to.

In which case the soldier would submit a request for personnel action to be endorsed through their chain of command. It’s seldom used, but in the case of a multi-million dollar lottery, or legal judgement winner, it could be approved. The determination is made based on what is in the best interest of the military.

No warmup no stretch just decided to give it a try. I have not run this far in over 2 decades.  The backyard is so inviting I may add sprints to my program. Almost surprised it felt good. I want to get a sled. I hope it won’t tear up the grass.
