I am not supposed to lift it more than a few degrees supposed to be in a sling. When I do I can feel the tendon and its tight also the area they stitched is pulling more from bottom than top. My insurance kicks in come Jan so going to wait and start pt at that time. But I am using it a little to type and eat now. I figure once healed I probably will have to build it back up as they pulled it apart and then stitched it back together but there is something where there was a hole and its attached but lower than expected, I can feel it pulling when I move the arm. It's still early but I am optimistic.
The absolute stupidity of this line is amazing. Waiting almost 8 weeks after surgery for legit PT. We know it's not going to be the VA insurance (tricare type) because fuck nuts says he feels that insurance should be saved for people in worse positions. (Stupid logic the too)
January 1st deductible kicks in (provided it's a PPO). Even if federal type plan there's going to be some. Regardless of PPO or HMO, there will be copay or coinsurance after deductibles.
1) ignored the advice to wear compression for flying home
2) ignored the advice to wear the sling as much as you should
3) ignored the advice (most likely) to avoid driving so soon
4) ignored the advice (highly highly likely) to start PT asap
Prove me wrong Brian. Show everyone the post OP instructions for the sling as well as the PT script. I would bet you were supposed to start in the next week or so. Spend $20k on surgery but won't pay out of pocket for PT to ensure the surgery as successful as possible. Let me guess, you know more than they do.
