ive benched 455, at 35 weighing in the low 190's, no shirt or bs, unracked myself it too haha.... got 405 last year at 45 w a bit of a bounce.. never gave a fuck about getting my numbers up.. they were good enough for me. its stupid chasing numbers at this age imo.
No offence, but no one at that age or bodyweight presses those weights without being numbers obsessed, nor does any singles at all, nor bounces any weights on presses. Those numbers are extremely good, it's more than many IFBB pros can press at considerably higher bodyweights. Nothing wrong with being a bit obsessed with numbers, no better feeling than being at your strongest, imo.
As far as bhanks, imho, he should do no more regular bench presses, no elbows flaring out presses, keep them in. There's a reason most pec tears occur in the regular bench. Benches are an effective movement but they obviously put the pec tendon in a bad position.
