I really like Markus.  I met him in 06 or so, and he could not have been nicer.  He invited me to play Black Jack with him and Simone.  We had a great time!  They both chain-smoked and offered everyone one the table free Marlboro Red 100s and whatever stand Simone adored...Gauoilses, I think?

My girlfriend at the time was a moderately heavy smoker, so she took several smokes from Markus and Simone before we all went on to poker.  We split ways then but recalled that he moved slowly and didn't exactly wheeze, but I did wonder how a walking mountain of a guy could keep ticking

He looked way thicker and denser later on in his career, unfortunately more and more bodyparts got injured and let him down simultaneously (calves, abs, back), so he was pretty incomplete at some point. He was one of the Pros who never really maxed out his potential.
