Any institution that has to have a BUY NOW AND SAVE MORE clause that aggressive may very well be a poor institution and essentially, your money would be spent better, elsewhere.

Try not to forget that this is something you are going to pay them 100k for.

It is absolutely true. It is also a very long commute. I am still waiting to hear back on more practical options. It will be a few more weeks on the other schools.

I am 47. I would be done by 50. I could work as a Lawyer until 65 or even later part time. 15 plus years is a long time

But baby steps let's just get through the 1st semester to start

The school I got into is a hour plus commute and cost 50k+.wow, shocker...school costs money I got a 17k scholarshipso what?  there are hundreds of thousands of dollars that go unclaimed every year...why don't you tell everyone what the stipulations are on that scholorship. If I want housing it is an extra 25k or moreagain, shocker...not going to a school close to where you live will cost money. I have an aging dog that bites and a 5-year-old whose wrestling practice I like to attend biweekly and a new wife and homealllll of the things that go with being an adult and especially one that is middle age..

If you think he didn't get in, you're living in a dream world.

This is a university that obviously is tin pot and cannot fill their allocation, essentially almost begging him to come at a discount (including early bird special).

This isn't a situation where him "getting in" is actually an achievement.  I would imagine all it would take is to score an okay score in LSAT and they will offer anybody the same.

He knows that.  He isn't hiding that.  He is just attempting to point out that technically, he HAS got into one. 

He's 47 and will be minimum 50 years old before he can even use that law degree - so exactly what would the criteria be for an actual scholarship?  You'd give it to almost anybody other than him just on pure age.
