This sounds like a pump and dump scam directed at hanks.   Prey upon his desire to go to any law school get him to dump a lot of money for one semester knowing he will never complete the program and just wash their hands of it.

Do you think Pace will make me a better offer? Should I hold out for Harvard? Still no idea on cost I got a merit scholarship they still have not sent me my financial packet with any need based Scholarshop or approved government student loans. My out-of-pocket cost should be essentially 0 regardless but let's say I don't get any loans or further scholarships, and I flunked out after 1 semester. I would be out about 12k.

Honestly, I would be perfectly happy if they just handed me the bar review book and let me sit in 6 weeks. However, you are required by the state of North Carolina to graduate with a Juris Doctorate from an accredited Law School to sit for the bar so I need to go to Law School first. Every law school reads the same book and studies the same material. The rankings are just a reflection of how difficult it is to get in. A competent person will do well in any law school. The higher ranked schools may have better network opportunities for jobs, but it doesn't really matter if you want to work for yourself anyway.

Now will I go to a higher ranked Law School if I get in sure, but the real plan is to go to with the cheapest option. I would rather have a free law degree from any accredited Law School than owe 300k for a Law Degree from Duke. I am going to be 50 I have a shorter time to recoup my investment. Free law School makes more sense than a quarter million in debt

Accounting 101 is the exact same class at Harvard and Podunk Community College they both prepare you to sit to be a CPA one is not better than the other. One may help you get a better job but they both read the exact same book.

This is a university that obviously is tin pot and cannot fill their allocation, essentially almost begging him to come at a discount (including early bird special).

This isn't a situation where him "getting in" is actually an achievement.  I would imagine all it would take is to score an okay score in LSAT and they will offer anybody the same.

He knows that.  He isn't hiding that.  He is just attempting to point out that technically, he HAS got into one. 

He's 47 and will be minimum 50 years old before he can even use that law degree - so exactly what would the criteria be for an actual scholarship?  You'd give it to almost anybody other than him just on pure age.

Yeah, it ain't Wake Forest, that's a top 25 law school.  At this point I think I'm 60/40 that he applied to some schlub 4th tier or non-ABA accredited school after getting so quickly rejected by Elon.  A place where basically everyone who applies gets in that offers you 1/3 of the tuition in "scholarship" the same way a car dealer offers you a discount on an overinflated retail sticker.

I'm not sure he has said that he has been admitted to an ABA accredited law school.  He may be playing Semhanktics again.
