Really I am doing fuck all?? I did not schedule a surgery during this down time that takes months to recover from? I am not planning possibly another surgery on my left shoulder that also takes months to recover from just in time to start school in August?

Hmmm bicep tenodesis, labrum and supraspinatus repair on 1/22.  Hydrocodone stopped 1/24.  Still in sling.  Went back to my office 1/27.  Doing CEU courses and taking the tests without issue.

I haven't had a pain killer in 8 weeks. They gave me a script for 30 5mg hydrocodone post surgery and 1 refill.

I have had a labrum repair it is nowhere near as traumatic of a surgery

Yeah when they did my labrum I had post operative rotator shoulder pain. They went back in a 2nd time and decided to move the perfectly fine long bicep head as well apparently the rotator tendon area was overcrowded so they unattached and reattached it to where it didnt hold without consulting me and now it is gone completely. I now need a 3rd surgery on that shoulder to fix both issues and a loose body in the joint in addition to some bone spurs.

But go ahead tell me about your successful bicep tendon repair with your successful labrum repair that let you return to work 3 days later. Mine sucks and needs to be done a 3rd time.

Like I said I have had that surgery. You are a week post and you still look human. I did as well after my Labrum repair.

After the pec reconstruction and tendon graft I looked like a giant red and black rotten tomato a week post it is a much more traumatic surgery with a lot more internal bleeding

I am planning or well hoping to get my labrum and bicep tendon graft and bone spurs done this spring/summer just need to look at insurance and finances after I recover more from the pec repair in a few months. Otherwise, I will have to wait until next summer. That is why I dont know my recovery timeline

When I got the second, I removed the sling day two, pulled the shoulder through the range of motion, and never put the sling on again.

I'm not saying I went against doctors orders, but I learned what it entailed, was careful with what I did, and was fine.

Maybe it was a dumb move and I got lucky, but no idea.

The directions from the surgeons are there minimize complications.  Are the overly conservative at times?  Yeah.  If the patient follows through then it minimizes the potential for people claiming "failed surgey".  Hell look at Deshaun Watson.  Fucked himself for that social media video showing he wasn't following directions.  He obviously felt good enough not to wear it...but still shows he wasn't doing what he was told.

Brian benching (even though it was light) is a classic example.  Him mentioning 4+ times how his "tendon is hot from overtraining" is another example.  That shit fails...he has no one to blame but himself
