Mr Trumps role in the Epstein files might have very little or no sexual content and his presence might amount to a huge nothing burger but he is making enormous efforts to keep the files closed.
He has sent Pam Bondi & Todd Blanche to meet Ghislaine Maxwell
Pam Bondi was one of the lawyers who represented Trump in his first impeachment trial.
Todd Blanche represented Trump in the;
classified documents case in Florida;
the election interference case in Washington, D.C.; and, in the
New York criminal trial in which Trump was convicted on thirty-four counts of falsifying business records relating to hush-money payments he made to cover up his alleged sexual encounter with porn star Stormy Daniels.
Mr Trump is both their former client and their present boss.
Bondi and Blanche fired Maureen Comey, the Justice Department attorney who had prosecuted the Epstein and Maxwell cases,
IN the event of Mr Trump ever being indicted for an Epstein-related crime based—or even appearing to be based—on evidence obtained from Maxwell by Trump’s former attorney, Blanche? They would move for dismissal of any such charges on the ground of misconduct.
If nobody is charged with Epstein-related crimes, there would be no legal proceeding in which the decision not to prosecute Trump could be challenged. If others are charged, but not Trump, they might raise challenges based on claims of selective prosecution, coverup, or something similar. Perhaps the judges my be unmoved by such defenses, particularly if the evidence against the others were strong solid, but that would keep the Trump Epstein Story running longer
Sending them, Bondi & Blanche to meet Maxwell ("the art of the seal deal"?) may be technically legal but it is very
clever deliberate corruption designed to ensure there will be no charges against anybody
