Main thing is to be patient and not get scammed because you're definitely going to be a target if you put something like that up without using an intermediary.

And the issue is whether the intermediary has any sort of customer base that actually would cop for it.

Find a cognac facebook group in your area/in a rich c.unts area and maybe message the person that runs it. 

You may be able to convince a retail store (with big online presence) to sell it on consignment - that would likely be your best legit option.

These ones allegedly sold one a few, but none for 5 years so value is hard to gauge

I don't know any signs but there was a documentary about a forgerer who sold to auction houses and wealthy private buyers. Like he had methods to make the lables and bottles look old and the pics of the bottles ended up in the auction houses catalogs.
