Lol, I never even paid attention to this shit until one day I saw a headline that was so preposterous, that I ended up following links in the article itself to its data sources, and its own data showed the headline of the article was a lie.
It started me thinking about media manipulation. So I started paying attention, and found many examples.
While I don't think social media companies started out with bad intentions, their success has given the opportunity for nefarious opportunities, and bad actors have put those opportunities into effect.
I am still perplexed by TDS. I've never seen a mass psychosis infect so many somewhat normal people. I do believe most of these folks are not happy with their own personal situations, and gravitate to groups to be socially connected.
Of course Trump doesn't help himself, but when it gets to a point where the government is actively trying to silence individuals, our government agencies are trying to set up a sitting president, and our judicial systems are being weaponized, the shit needs to stop. To compound how bizarre it is, SO MANY PEOPLE ARE OK WITH IT, as long as it's anti Trump.
I'd say the only good news for me looking at this shit is I'm able to stay emotionally detached. I know people who have gotten physically ill due to it.
