I had plenty of success at work before I retired in my 30s. How many of you spent a decade surfing and kiting already while young and healthy. How many of you spent a couple years playing semi pro race car driver? How many had 100 days on the mountain snowboarding at their ski condo? Success is more than just a bigger title and a raise at your job. I own my home I love my wife I am proud of my son. I have never been more successful. Now I am going to go to Law School as I am too old to kitesurf and lift weights full time anymore the body is getting older. The mind is also bored with this shit so I am going to go to Law School now. Sorry I am not doing things on someone else's schedule. When my story is finally written it will be a great read.

Does anyone have the video where Sam reached 216?  I mean he was peeled to the bone.  Vascular as hell.  Then when I saw him at the contest posing, he looked nothing like he did prior.  He actually looked a bit water logged.

Just because you can't see them when he is on stage in that lighting at that distance and angle covered in goo doesn't mean they are not there. I have seen some different angles and views now and yeah of course some look better than others. You can definitely see deep cuts in some and in others yeah he looks smooth. That doesn't mean his physique changed. If you stood 3 feet away from him in good light he is going to look the same. But as the lighting distance and angles change you cant see as much detail. In some of the videos you can see a lot though for a moment when he hits a pose at an angle but when moving at a distance yeah its going to smooth out. I cant read a book at 50 feet either doesnt mean there are not words on the page.

Most likely Sam was a bit harder at the show, I don't really think too many guys are water logged because everyone is dehydrated to an extent. I don't know if too many actually gain weight during the carb load either, from what I've seen the weight usually drops a little despite trying to fill out but many claim the contrary, you need sodium and water to effectively load but not too many increase those at that time, but I don't know... of course heavy diuretics can make you look dramatically worse too even if not watery.

I haven't watched Sam's videos at all but I saw some comment he eats cereal and milk after workouts. Aren't those cereals "good" carbs a lot of the time? Seems like they are popular with bodybuilders, some put them in shakes for convenience even. And like I've claimed, milk is a very anabolic food, relatively, even the fat contributes to anabolism. That's why some are worried milk promotes cancer.

I think "Coach" Gilbert Gottfrie...err, Dochette offered the most constructive criticism of Sam's debut...then again, I didn't watch much of the other videos which reported about his show.  I accidentally slipped onto Luimarco's (SP?) channel, and after about thirty seconds of his truly DUMB catch-phrases (iz ease, baby please; gains are loyal, anhd to be saluted," etc. bullshit), I'd had enough. 

I understand he is a Spaniard (?), but the guy is a total jerk-off.

Probably not  Then again I have a friend who claims to have eaten 3500 grams of carbs in a day before a show, without drinking until his mouth was raw and he couldn't speak. And he had a coach who helps an Olympia competitor advising him... the high gh dose the night before is something some pros have done/do, I haven't heard of quite 54iu but probably someone has done similar, the idea is like the introduction of a lot of sodium just before when a comp sees he overdid the diuretics and "flattened out"... the point I made about drastic measures. I'm answering this seriously even knowing yours was a rhetorical question
