Well I think Gary would have been Mr O. I will let Gary confirm this. Gary may have a different opinion. The reason why he would have been MR O is that he really knows a lot about conditioning. Proof of ithis is his conditioning in Colorado. He was spot on(Maybe a little flat at pre-judging) and that's with 10 years of not doing one show. I think he would have presented that same conditioning at the Mr O 91 [ Invalid YouTube link ] Take a look at that and see the difference in his conditioning? He didn't pay that much attention to conditioning for the WBF as he was far ahead of the rest of the pack.

Hi folks. Sorry I was a little MIA there but the situation here in Bangkok is bad so am struggling to get Internet access from time to time.

With respects to the Mr O 91 am not one to say could have, should have and would have. I would much rather say it would have been interesting because my first Mr O in 88 I was still a rookie but in 91 I was finding the right mix of mass and conditioning. The most important thing is that am still bodybuilding today. Its my passion. A lot of guys burn out and don't last. Hopefully, I can keep doing this on this level for many more years to come. I always say he who does it for the longest...Wins.

thx for answering my question gary.. i had the june issue of flex in 96 in which you were talking about other big guys.. you said that you and dorian had mass with good shape but nasser (who was the big hit of this period) according to you was just big like a block!!.. were you close to any of these guys (top guys of the 90s)?!.. any stories to share with us from this era (the most competitive era of bb)??..

My take on bodybuilding is that anything over the top is not eye candy. I think some of the bodybuilders that take in to much of anything risk making themselves look blocky. I cant remember saying anything about Nasser. Nasser was very good for Nasser but each of us have a different take on how we want to present our physiques. I like the lines with a mix of lean muscle mass that flows and is pleasing to look at. Am not into freaky bloated muscles. Unfortunately, that dry look is gone from that present bodybuilding stage.
