"Miracle Bear" sounds like a movie Disney would make, where the Care Bears finally come out of the closet after all of these years.

Dorian was Mr Olympia, Cormier was not.

Of course your building muscle. Hormones are central but the work has to go in.

He was 3rd at the O and 2nd at some Arnold's. In his defense, Dorian didn't had to compete with Ronnie Coleman.

Not to forget, you also need lots of protein to make it ;D

Actually, that's not a joke. For all the talk of people massively and needlessly overeating protein, how it's just a scam by supp companies, all the big fellas eat plenty of it, including BigRo. Eating below the RDA for non-bodybuilders is not going to cut it. I know I'm in the minority here, but it's just like my opinion, man 8)

My posts tend to get too long but I just want to also mention that trained nutritionists and physicians and scientists, who are anti-supplement mostly, all still stress the importance of hitting the protein RDA for seniors, for example, to stave off muscle and bone loss as you age. I'm contrarian and a dissident on a lot of things but not all.

You are 100% right. It is strange that so many people today forget about it or even question the role of protein in bodybuilding.

which is .75 gm per kilo of bodyweight

Thats the majority of scientists and nutritionists, the only people telling you to eat a lb per lb of bodyweight are supp companies.

CBum hasn't trained upper body in three months thinking stem cells/snake oil will miraculously cure his damaged shoulder. If this fool would have had surgery three months ago he would be nearly healed. Fouad is just as bad, had stem cell treatments thinking they would cure his torn tricep and heal his drug ravaged kidneys.

Cormier wouldn't have ever won the Olympia regardless of lifestyle.

Yeah I know. But guys here were saying 50 grams is all you need and such. Just thinking logically, if stressing the body and trying to add muscle, hopefully, the amount should go up. It's not a perfect conversion either, where each extra gram ingested goes to muscle growth. Some cultures eat a lot of protein though, 70 grams was said to be the average amount in an American dinner in that one protein study I posted :D
Some people though tend to not like protein foods much, eating mostly cereals, starches, fruits, milk products perhaps upset their stomachs, so may need reminding. Also if eating vegetarian the amount should go up by 25% to account for the lack of essential aminos, and getting the RDA from a veg diet is challenging.

I remember seeing videos of Cbum going way too heavy on shoulder presses and inclines, and I would be thinking like ''what is he thinking??'', imo that kind of training ALWAYS leads to shoulder problems eventually! it's better to go lighter for much higher reps

Without the grind all the drugs gonna do nothing. "Look" how about BE a champion and let it shine through your body.

Many bodybuilders are lazy and train like shit and are still IFBB pros.

Now you’re moving the goal posts.

Now it’s that Cormier was not an Olympia so it does not count lol. He was top 6 bodybuilder in the world at some point despite partying and doing recreational drugs. He was a prime example of being all drugs, like many bodybuilders.

Face it, bodybuilding is a chemical warfare game.

I would say the shitty diets and shitty training is somewhat exaggerated. Also the stories of wild partying and excesses may be exaggerated for a good story too. Some can also stay up late sniffing cocaine yet still show up early in the gym to put in the work, sometimes, or oftentimes. Many can be addicts and still be perfect with everything else. Many said Dorian too was addicted to Nubain at one point, like most everyone else, and it's not hard to imagine especially considering his later druggy lifestyle. Cormier was inclining 4 plates and I remember reading he was the strongest pro at Gold's at some point. That isn't by total accident, even with great genetics and lots of drugs. I have personally seen bodybuilders who are very regimented on everything bodybuilding also use lots of rec drugs. Nasser said the Nubain users trained like grandmoms while others claimed it helped them train much harder because they didn't feel pain. Titus was said to have been a cocaine addict even before he turned pro and I in particular remember being amazed reading that he was supposedly doing 400lb pulldowns, more than the reporter in MMI magazine had ever seen anyone else do. Just to say some could be hard partyers and psycho trainers at the same time 8)
