Nobody has ever done this. Ever. Certainly not as a warmup.
Maybe if you're cheating and swinging the weight like a total madman... maybe... but then it's not really a "warmup."
If you like the torn bicep look, and want a couple for yourself, that's how you'd train.
Most of the weights in that magazine article are pure fantasy, but that one is just RETARDED.
