Decent, not super great. VERY Islamic (for years) but middle class (ish). Household income in Michigan overall $71,000.  Dearborn household income $65,000. Been a while since I drove through. City of Detroit $39,000 (low low) as a yardstick.

Checking the clip above, any opinions?

That a regular occasion?

Could not watch the clip, my own neighborhood has elements of that and “From the River to the Sea” offends me. For its Islamic population, Dearborn has a lot more countries of origin than my area which has smaller Islamic concentration but mostly Jordanian/Palestinian. It’s a huge mix within that group, lots of professional people and small business owners and for example, young girls working in the stores wearing their head scarves, usually very nice and very assimilated with English just like everyone else’s, but I passed an Islamic food pantry near my gym yesterday and cars were lined up for blocks, so there must be a fair amount of poverty which is hard to see because these are neighborhoods of nice homes (like Dearborn). Our Islamic areas are not ghetto like at all (like in France), but there are lots of viewpoints like I am sure in your video, which may be understandable but to me are anti-semitic, for years not just Gaza.

Our Gaza demonstrations have been downtown and on college campuses, not in the suburbs so much. So the clip is not a regular occasion here.

I used to live there. I still have an elderly relative that still does live there.

I remember back in 01, the arabs celebrating wildly when the towers came down.

Wasn't Dearborn pretty affluent many decades ago?

Ford still manufactures LOTS of vehicles in Dearborn (Ford Truck and Ford Engine plants and lots still going on at Rouge plant). But no Ford executive would live in Dearborn these days.

That bullshit aside, it's still a very good and safe place to live. Largely because of the middle eastern population.

I haven't been there in years, probably over a decade but it was always a safe middle class neighborhood,  maybe even upper middle class.

At one point FoMoCo supplied the Dearborn police with all of their vehicles and funded the public schools there. That was the 80's.

There has been a huge Muslim/Arab population there forat least 3 decades, maybe more.

I remember one of the mayoral candidates back in the mid 80's distributed a pamphlet titled "What I will do about the Arab problem"

I worked with a lot of Arabic and middle eastern people.  Never really had any issues. Like all groups there are a lot of accurate stereotypes and a lot of exaggerated stereotypes too. In east Dearborn many of the street signs are in Arabic, the ads in convenience stores are in Arabic. It's eerie AF when you hear the daily calls for prayer. But again, never had any issues.

Just move to Syria or Jordan or Lebanon. Same people but you’ll have a much higher quality of life over there if you can work remotely!

A long time ago.

That’s a new one. Have high tech nomads been moving to Syria? Maybe within the last few months but this strains the imagination.

Typically the nomads move to Indonesia (Bali), another Muslim nation. Also cheaper than Dearborn.

You misremembered.  That wasn’t in Dearborn.

That sounded wrong to me too. I have gone to events here in my neighborhood. While there is an undertone of “we simply want Israel entirely written off the map and even including we don’t like Jews”, I don’t hear direct anti-Americanism. Simply too grateful for being here. As pointed out above, many (most?) are prosperous, and the kids love it here and generally blend in.
