I knew something was up with Dave Portnoy's reviews when the owner of this store came out to complain about what he was doing. I think what he does is go to the competition and give them a low score like 5.3 but make it sound like he's being scientific by adding the decimal. Like it's some precise calculation he's coming up with. When in actuality he's actually competing with these guys and benefits by them having a low score. I'm not on the East coast, so I don't know what's really going on. Do you have some insight on the situation?
@5:25
Portnoy is the scum of the earth. A true living, breathing vile scum bag. He thinks that he has heroically kept the pizza industry alive. He's a joke.
His taste buds are destroyed from drug use I've heard. He has no clue about what makes a good pizza. His score is nonsense. Look how confused and inconsistent he always is when scoring. But ohhhhhhhhh...he struts around like his score is the holy word. Like a pizza place hasn't really "made it" until they get his seal of approval/score. The pizza shops don't want him there. The owners look miserable when hes there. But they are forced to stay silent out of fear of retribution against their small businesses from Dave's vicious fans and Dave's unrelenting and vindictive online bullying tactics.
Good for that Dragon's shop owner standing up to him. And look at the little hissy fit sweet Dave threw. You could see him bright red and shaking that someone dared to challenge his self-perceived godly presence. Same thing at GoodFellows when they kicked him out. And what did the little princess do? Spit the food on the ground and stormed off like a diva. Screw him. And then he got all his followers to harass the restaurant with nasty calls and reviews. But wait...Oh yeah....Dave is the self proclaimed hero who supposedly cares sooo much for small business owners and the little man. Kinda odd then that he had nooooooo problems with the business getting harassed.
If Dave visits your pizza shop and you want an okay review...Here's what you'll need to do: Bow down to him, kiss his feet, praise him, give him free food, don't make him wait in line, don't make him wait for his food, everyone needs to make a big deal that he's there, everyone needs to clear away from him, and you must stop everything in your life just to give him 100% attention. Then, thank him for his score...thank him for being fair...and profusely thank him for saving the pizza industry during Covid. You better also make sure to thank him, on camera, so EVERYONE can see and hear you announcing how selfless and amazing he is.
And if you can strike a deal with his people to sell your pizza on Goldbelly, and hopefully give him commission to help him make more money off you, well...even better! The more money you can make for Dave, the happier he will be. Because did you know? Dave is rich!!! He's like super duper rich from Barstool!! Dave is soooo amazing!!!! And so rich! And he's just a simple every day guy that loves pizza. And apparently he knows what real good pizza tastes like because of his scoring system. Did I mention he's crazy rich from selling Barstool?!!
And I honestly feel he has worked out a little arrangement with some of these shops and marketing. Sally's is a perfect example. Sally's is nothing special. Blah blah blah...Yeah yeah...Sinatra supposedly would get Sally's "flown out to him in Chicago." I don't believe that for a freaking millisecond. Probably he would just eat there if he was close by and thought the pizza was fine. Or he asked one of his men to bring some pizza with him if they flew out to Chicago. So where are the photos of Sinatra and the owner of Sally's if he was such a golden customer? It's all nonsense.
Stupid big nosed Dave reviews some of these places, gets people squawking and talking, gets the restaurants on Goldbelly, and then the recipe gets cheap and mass produced. Sally's became famous because of the original owner and his passion and love for his pizza. Once he passed away, it seemed like his ungrateful ghoulish zombie looking kids couldn't sell it fast enough to cash out. They wouldn't even sell to their relatives at Pepe's. How sad that they wouldnt sell to their family to keep it in the family. And Dave's little Sally's review seems to have happened right around the time of Sally's being sold off. Now it's all mass produced. Staff doesn't care and the quality shows.
Dave is a shell of his former self. He stumbles around, his eyes are sunken in, he shakes, he mumbles, forgets what he is talking about, and even forgets where he is. His lifestyle is finally catching up to him. The pizza industry just has to deal with him for now. He's like a homeless vampire with a bag of valuable collectible soda cans. And the owners are really stuck because they can't get him to leave the restaurant because he'll flip out. We are all to blame for entertaining him and encouraging him to do his reviews. He's a leech. He sucks the money blood out of pizza shops and people to make himself richer. He's a user and abuser of people. Look at how he exploited that poor heavy set Uber driver gal in his videos.
Eventually, he's going to open his mouth to the wrong person...or try to harm the wrong business reputation...and he will get the instant karma he justly deserves.
