If's but's what if's - No definitive conclusive answer
Go carry on arguing with yourself it's boring me.
Sorry to bore you. I thought I was just answering your questions. You'll find conversations less boring when you respond to the questions that are put to you.
Illuminati, not arguing with you. And I respect your opinion., always have, apparently just not on topics not related to Dorian vs. Ronnie. It is close. Im not putting down Dorian by any means.
There never will be a conclusive answer because its a subjectively judged sport. If there is a manual that explains objective judging criteria, ive never seen it and looking at many outcomes of bodybuilding shows I don't think many judges have bothered to read it either. IF it even exists...
I have lifted since grade school, had subscriptions to M&F and Flex, had posters and pictures all over my home gym as a kid. When those pictures of Dorian came out I was like 'WTF? No way' how the fuck does one achieve that?'' It actually killed my interest in the sport for a few years because it was a look that was impossible to achieve, I couldn't fathom anyone ever being that muscular. I didn't think it was humanly possible and so I lost interest. I thought 'No one will ever beat this guy.' A few years later I picked up an issue of Flex and thumbed through it and saw Dorian, Flex Wheeler and Paul Dillet and was equally shocked. Like wtf is going on? Now these guys with impossible muscularity are coming out of the wood work. I probably didn't seriously workout with weights for a few more years which is when I picked up another magazine and saw Ronnie and again was just totally shocked. I remember Ronnie always placing last, in fact I hated his physique but now he's beating Paul and Flex and Levrone and ALL of them just looked beyond human, and Ronnie looked beyond them.
I regained interest in the sport, probably when I came across Ironage forum, which focused on the "golden era" I said 'so what? I'll obviously never be a pro bodybuilder but Ill go back to lifting/bodybuilding as a hobby because I genuinely enjoy it, and see how close I can get to a "golden era" look, 5'10", 190 to 200 lbs , hold as much muscle as my genetics alllow, try to be as lean as my genetics will allow, and just do it for the fun of it. Then I found Getbig. Then I didn't know what the hell to think!
