Charlie wore a bulletproof vest and took precautions — no doubt multiple death threats had been made against him. And yet, the surrounding rooftops weren’t secured — again, just like with Trump. That’s basic Security 101. They should have been monitoring the roofs. People even spotted the gunman there before Charlie was killed. WTF?! This shooting should never have happened. They allowed it to happen.

All they needed were spotters on the rooftops — it’s not rocket science. Charlie’s assassination was entirely preventable, and it’s frustrating how casually they treated his security. I hope Elon’s team takes safety more seriously. Apparently, Mark Suckerberg spends far more on security than Elon does.

You're right. Both sides just pay lip service to free speech. Most would eagerly censor anything that suits their agenda. Only a handful stay true to their principles over party loyalty. The US would be so much better off with a viable third party.
