Nick wasn't a month out at all IMO. He just lacked that last amount of polish which is hard to even blame on the approach. Sometimes the body doesn't respond as usual. Often they blame nerves and cortisol but it's impossible to narrow down to just factor. I don't think he  was fatter per se.
In my opinion, this look is insulin abuse compared to the players from the 90s.

How is it that these clowns can’t even dial it in for ONE SHOW the whole year with a “coach”!?? You had bodybuilders that would compete for years on end back to back without anybody telling them what to do and they were in far superior shape.

This I don’t ever remember Yates  ray or Haney needing a diet guru

These clowns today pay there gurus 30% of there purse

So say lumpsford acetohole 30%

That’s 180 k

Which takes lumpsford a purse down to 420  in taxes lumpsford maybe netted 220 k

I was thinking about this recently. These gurus to the stars have convinced these high level competitors that they need them. And convinced them that they would be lost without them. What good salesman they are.

You can see why Nick Walker has fired his coach.  He couldn't even beat a physique that wouldn't have gotten inside top 10 at a pro show in the 90s/2000s

Not only that nick has not made a big purse in several years now

Dude is sucking cock and selling his ass

To be realistic for a minute here..... how can you expect these guys to do their own prep when they can't do their own tanning process and look like they have bruises all over because of the shitty applications?

you tend to be wrong every time regarding show level conditioning.

So I take it that Nick had a considerable amount of more bodyfat now compared to his best showings? He never has onion skin in the first place, but a slight amount of more bloat from water can make a big difference. So imo it had to do with the carb loading and wanting to be as big as possible, not so much a dieting or fat problem per se. See what happened to Samon when he shased extreme cuts through diet, that doesn't always work either.

And sometimes the body just doesn't cooperate.

yes, thats it, these guys just load up and get bloated, they must throw in carbs and water until they spill over.

Martin Fitzwater went old school and handed Mr Olympia his ass by coming in peeled.

They are trying to dry out while carb loading, which is really water loading. Simple logic says you are trying to do two contradictory things at once. So it's hit and miss and pure luck. "Keep the water in the muscle but lose it from under the skin" and the body may not work like that.

It can & is done - not that difficult to do. If low body fat it gives that thin skin cling film
Wrapped look.  The body is capable & does many things at once.

Yes but t's not like the body pulls water out of the subq comparment only. I re nember Vince Taylor had a theory that you should drop your diuretic a day or so before.  He claimed the diuretic pulled the water first from the muscle and then skin but when it came back the muscles would be dilled first  :D

Nowadays many claim they only take half a dyazide the night before if even that. When I attempted to help my buddy for shows what I thought was logical was to start a low dose of Dyazide on Sunday or Monday before. Then you could gauge what was happening day by day; maybe even dropping it in the day before if filling out seemed impossible . But usually there was a weight limit that had to be considered 8)

I not a big believer in diuretics for final contest prep , have used them sparingly with some
I've got ready.  Maybe I don't know enough about them combined with the other stuff going
In contest prep.

I'll stick with my methods as I know them well.

I think the main thing is simply being ready. Then even a small film of water won't matter most of the time 8)

The main reason walker et al suck so much is that the current way of doing things is skewed from the start. None of these guys spent a decade building made the hard way, by training with heavy free weights, even heath built a foundation first, machines came later. Now these guys blow up with synthol insulin and GH and when it's time to diet they can't stay in a deficit because the temporary fake size they have vanishes leading to DNP abuse to lean out. As the DNP is cooking them their coaches are injecting SEO everywhere in an attempt to stay "full' because only in the off season do they look competitive size wise so what they are attempting is basically impossible. What we see on stage time and time again are failures due to laziness and incompetence. Samson for example turned pro just a few years after he started training. I remember seeing him winning amateur shows and being shocked how obvious it was that he was abusing synthol. Theres no other way to make gains that fast. Most all of these guys are using it everywhere look at andrew jacked FFS.

So you take a body and fill all the major muscle groups with oil and when they lose fat there's still synthol everywhere leaking from injection sites for years. It wouldn't surprise me if synthol is interfering with fat loss but even if it doesn't it surely causes massive systemic inflammation. If anyone has seen these guys blood work I bet you'll find sky high crp and il6 levels.

But anyway, bottom line is these guys are weak and can't do any better because no one is really leading the way. Haney Yates etc were excellent role models and took the sport in the right direction. Bodybuilding has lost its way.

No such thing, Haney Ray, Levrone, Gaspari, Priest were all champs in their teens

Doesnt matter if you waste you time training for 10 years before you touch gear... totally irrelevant

If you stop Synthol and some of the size remains it's scar tissue. The oil itself doesn't remain for that long, I tjink it'sa even said MCT dissipates the fastest so if you want a test  base solution for fast action use MCT as carrier. That said, all these guys 'touch up' bodyparts a day or two before and it's no new thing. Test prop is one, Winstrol another, and now many use Mediform which is just hyaluronic acid. Some do blame kidney stress on year round inflammation but the same thing happens with regular gear.

Exactly, I've been saying for years or even decades that most all the champs started in their teens; but these same fuckers preach patience LOL. It might be the smartest thing for your health to start young and finish your career young, like Arnold or Haney. But of course it's hard to stop if you are still winning. And the ones not winning are thinking they just need more time LOL.
