I've never watched a BB video, never wanted to do a show. I'll diet when I feel I've gained weight. Barely ever step on a scale.
Fuck that, I love food on the Holidays. I have a big Italian family and it's go time for eating.
I'm like somewhat what joswift said. I start really training hard in the spring through the summer and into that fall so I look the best I can for the warmer days.
I still train in the winter months but I'm just maintaining not pushing hard.

Since I got out of bodybuilding I cant even get through the online prep and training videos without thinking "What a fucking idiot"

One girl not having a xmas dinner because she was in prep for a show three months away because her husband told her to.

One guy talking about his pre-and post workout drinks and adding in multiple different products including upwards of 15gms of creatine


Not to mention the "almond butter brigade"

Competitors these days seem to live on supplements and pre-packed meals
They bang on about how important the nutrition is then add chocolate to their morning oats

All the emphasis on eating and training but without the copius amounts of drugs they would look like the average gym rat

Say not gaining any bodyfat is very important to you, isn't the easy solution to fast or just eat protein for a day or two or three and then have a guilt free feast at holidays? I mean that's how many bodybuilders diet now anyway.

from the UK win in 2022 to the last show in Nov 23, I was 58 at that show

I just couldnt get in shape , I had been dieting for around 15 months none stop so I put it down to that

My body just wasnt responding, I didnt want to be that guy..

Its like a man flirting with women, it goes from a flirt to a dirty old man overnight
