I understand what you're saying and I believe we agree, I just put more stock in the differences than you do.
As far as IQ and genetics...Some have suggested that IQ cannot be improved as life goes on, so at some point (when?) your IQ basically freezes. Weird.
Many cultural norms and practices are not compatible, can we agree on that? And at what point does importing conflicting cultural values impede the progression of a society?

I have a couple of friends in my sector who frequently suggest that I should eventually pursue teaching (I'm constantly thrown into many late-night rooftop debates). My reply to them is that I can't be bothered with the time required now, and I would almost certainly be regarded as a crank and an extremist for some of my views.
I cannot sketch out a detailed political philosophy on here, and judging by some of the replies, It's clearly impossible to avoid being misinterpreted, but while I believe in the importance of things like diplomacy, free trade, human rights, and international law, I also have no tolerance at all for the various barbarisms that are often justified in the name of culture and tradition.
I don't believe that the state has a right to suppress private religious expression and freedom of conscience, but I do believe in enforcing non-negotiable civic rules such as the legal equality of men and women, bodily autonomy, animal welfare standards (and here I am admittedly radical), and a rejection of religious law.

Yeah, I did a couple of years in private security just to save enough money for moving on in life, but I now work as a technical specialist and manager in the areas of peacebuilding and disarmament.
