Trump had said "there's no more targets left to hit." Well there were targets, civilian ones like energy, water treatment, bridges, the military ones were underground. But he had promised the civilians that "help is on the way." Plus if the Iranians destroyed the Gulf states that wouldn't be too great for Trump either since they had counted on the US to protect them based on Trump's assurances. Plus now Trump knows much new kinetic action would cause economic bedlam so he felt forced to sign a surrender document in effect, for the time being at least.

I don't know what will happen and how this will develop, and Iran could be vulnerable too but I have a feeling this will be really consequential for Trump and the world. Will Iran be successful in finally driving out the US from the middle east as has been their plan? Is there any chance Trump will use nukes because he won't be able to handle the world seeing him as a loser?

I would hope Congress would have the balls to throw him out of office before letting him nuke any one.

Meanwhile.... Israel is just sitting over there, not giving a fuck, doing what the fuck they want to do - which keeps the "talks" stalled - and President Tiny Hands can't reign them in.   :D

Trump just claimed new direct talks scheduled in Doha which Iran apparently denies. Trump has claimed Iran has agreed to charge no tolls or fees of any kind and agreed to denuclearize. I have a feeling Iran hasn't agreed to anything like that. At this time Trump kind of has to let Iran dictate a lot of the terms in any new deals and agreements due to the oil reserve situation. Israel's actions might play into Iran's hands here, Iran can claim breach of the MOU at any time.

Trumpy "claims" are nothing more than just blatant lies that no one even believes at this point.  Iran is doing what they want and getting everything they want.  This is what happens when you send PhDs to negotiate while the other side sends self interest real estate wankers.

Israel is going to continue their actions and land taking.  When called out on down the road after any Iranian Ass Kissing peace treaty is finalized, they are just going to claim "we didn't agree to that.  we were never part of these talks or invited to sit at the table for discussions."

They have been the problem for 50 years.

I have disagreed and kept an open mind for long enough, I now agree with you, their lack of compassion for their fellow man and their constant meddling and manipulation in politics and media too support their agenda is now to hard to ignore, the lack of condemnation for their leaders by the general population and their constant settler expansion will never bring them peace. They are as radical as the muslim radicals they despise.

In Ted Postol's opinion the US would need to use 10-50 tactical nukes to stop Iran from being able to send any drones or missiles. Then you'd have the problem with nuclear fallout on the middle east as a whole.

This is what happens when you send PhDs to negotiate while the other side sends self interest real estate wankers.

Yes and Trump is still sending Kushner and Witkoff for these supposed further talks. Before the war Iran said Jared and Steve did not understand on a technical level what they were ready concede wrt the nuclear issue. Russia has unbelievably tolerated these clowns but I imagine they don't really pay them no mind, just go through the motions so as to keep some channels open and not anger the volatile Trump. Iran's religious council put up a notice that Iran's negotiation team is not sanctioned to even discuss the nuclear issue at this time.

I certainly believe Iran more than Trump.

Quote
Tensions boiled over among House Democrats Sunday after Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie proposed an amendment to nix $3 billion in military aid to Israel.

During a phone call, Democrats could not reach an agreement on how to handle the amendment that would slash $3.3 billion in foreign aid to Israel, with some arguing that the party should support Israel less, Punchbowl News reported Monday. Divisions over Israel continued to flare on both sides of the aisle, causing major rifts within both parties.

Far-left and progressive Democrats argued that Israel committed “genocide” in Gaza and engaged in ethnic cleansing, prompting them to oppose military aid. Center-left Democrats largely supported security support and argued Israel had a right to defend itself against regional threats.

Establishment Republicans, seniors and evangelicals continued to support foreign aid for Israel, while Massie and other conservative skeptics viewed U.S. aid to Israel as being a betrayal to America First supporters. Some Republicans, including Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Lindsey Graham of South Carolina, supported unrestricted aid to Israel and argued the U.S.-Israel alliance was vital to Americans’ national security.

Members of the New Democrat Coalition, a center-left caucus, and Jewish lawmakers opposed Massie’s amendment. The House Appropriations Committee’s ranking member, Democratic Connecticut Rep. Rosa DeLauro, argued the amendment could cut off aid to Palestinians, Punchbowl News reported.

DeLauro sparred with Democratic Virginia Rep. Bobby Scott over how much of the proposed cuts would impact military versus humanitarian aid, according to Punchbowl.

Progressive Democrats supported the measure because they opposed Israel’s actions in Gaza. Democratic Texas Rep. Joaquin Castro accused Israel of committing ethnic cleansing in Gaza, while Democratic Texas Rep. Greg Casar said he felt strongly about curbing aid to Israel, according to Punchbowl.

Democratic Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz of Florida, Brad Schneider of Illinois and Greg Landsman of Ohio opposed the amendment, Punchbowl reported.

Israel critics in the party defeated establishment Democrats in New York Tuesday. Former New York City Comptroller Brad Lander beat incumbent New York Rep. Dan Goldman in the June 23 primary after accusing Goldman of being too aligned with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and for refusing to sufficiently criticize Israel.

During a debate with PIX11, Goldman argued that describing Israel’s actions in Gaza as “genocide” was complicated, but stated that what happened in Gaza was “horrific.” He received nearly $195,000 in campaign donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) and affiliated groups.

The Israel debate hurt former President Joe Biden and former Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 election cycle. Tens of thousands of voters did not vote for Biden during the Michigan presidential primary in February 2024 over his support for Israel. Harris lost Michigan to President Donald Trump during the 2024 general election after voters in Metro Detroit, including Dearborn, Michigan, refused to show up at the polls for her.

During Colorado’s 1st Congressional District campaign, the Israel debate has raged ahead of Tuesday’s Democratic primary between Democratic Colorado Rep. Diana DeGette and her challenger Melat Kiros, a Democratic Socialists of America (DSA)-backed candidate. Kiros campaigned on cutting off all aid to Israel and argued against its status as a Jewish state, while DeGette, who has served in Congress for nearly 30 years, advocated for a two-state solution and supported providing aid to Israel.

The U.S. provides roughly $3.8 billion in baseline annual security assistance to Israel, including $3.3 billion for Foreign Military Financing and $500 million for missile defense.

Don't worry Van, he can't fathom that there are gradations of belief. Believing someone more than the other doesn't mean you completely believe them.

Simple logical thought is lost on the maga's. They think in black and white, win or lose.

Apostrophes serve two primary purposes in English: to show ownership (possessives) and to replace missing letters (contractions, such as in "don't" or "I'm"). They should never be used to make simple nouns plural.
