  • Dumb people think Trump is smart.
Iran has a stronger hold on this situation today than it did when it first kicked off.

This is correct. Trump got bad intel going into this one, thinking the regime change would cause the to people to rise up but it didn’t.

Do we know who gave him the bad intel?

Quote
A U.S. intelligence assessment completed shortly before the United States and Israel launched a war in Iran had determined that American military intervention was not likely to lead to regime change in the Islamic Republic, according to two people familiar with the finding.

The National Intelligence Council’s assessment in February concluded that neither limited airstrikes nor a larger, prolonged military campaign would be likely to result in a new government taking over in Iran, even if the current leadership was killed

How I see it:

Iran can never relax again, not that it ever could before. Trump cannot leave it like this even if he wanted to. Iran knows the US and Israel are committed to destroying the regime, either in the near future or at some future date. The nuclear capability also has to be destroyed.

I really want the US to go all out now and let's see what happens. He sort of bitched out now that Kaine and JD etc told him the US is out of precision missiles and can't protect it's allies. They are now letting missiles hitting "non-critical" targets fly through so as not to deplete the PAC3s further etc. Not to worry, Bibi will convince him to bomb Pickaxe mountain and do another decapitation strike on the mullahs and current leadership.

There are so many problems that come with further war. Even if the regime is destroyed the headache doesn't stop there. The US knows it now has to worry about terrorism for decades to come; they have to worry about lone wolf attacks against any US personnel anywhere in the world. And indeed the US has now warned all Americans abroad to be cautious. "Blood for Blood" the Iranians are now saying, making videos about killing Melania, Barron etc.

The US is now bitching about China and Russia helping Iran with targeting; Rubio just "warned" Lavrov LOL. But they really have no room to complain since Trump's admin has tried to assassinate Putin and are actively involved in the bombing deep inside Russia. Iran's capabilities have been utterly destroyed so many times now yet their missiles are more precise than lethal than before LOL.

"We have far more weapons than anyone in the world and far more than we need" - Trump

Ok Donnie, we totally believe you. Go all out, take the advice of Netanyahu. Flatten them and erase the bloodlines like Coach says, let's see what happens. Bomb Pickaxe and declare another win. You won't disrupt world oil supply, after all the US is totally not dependent on the SoH nor the BaM.

Actually, I think Trump is one of the few people who could leave it like this and claim victory.

The allegation is that Trump was told by everyone in the admin as well as the generals what the article says but he went with what Bibi and Mossad head David Barnea assured him: that regime change was going to happen. I think that is correct but I wasn't there obviously. There is also an allegation that JD had a contentious call with Bibi a couple of months back where JD blamed Bibi for the debacle it turned into. And we can see how Jews across the board hate JD currently; I'm sure you're seeing it? I think Bibi is now assuring Trump that just a little more bombing will finally make it happen.

The new Jew MAGA of Levin, Shapiro et al is telling Trump that further war will spill gentile blood but has to be done and it surely will be worth it in the end!

"We" as in you gentiles, not "us Jews" obviously

I totally agree, in theory he could if he was willing to take on all the Jews that totally own the US political machine, but at the same time realistically he can't or won't. IMHO only of course. Everyone against the war says Trump is the one guy who can claim victory in any situation and can get away with it. But it would require enormous cojones and risking everyone in the political machine turning against him.

As Ann Coulter says, "pull out now, declare victory and we will all rally behind you and totally support that."

But...

Right, Israel did present these scenarios, which Ratcliffe and Rubio dismissed as bullshit.  So, despite his own intelligence rejecting the regime change outcome, as well as his senior officials, the reason Trump attacked Iran was because he thought it would lead to regime change, as irongrip is claiming?

I mean that's the allegation or claim at least. I don't know what Trump really thought, what do you think? What do you think he's thinking or considering now? I saw where he said he was really surprised at the Ayatollah funeral turnout, "I thought they hated the regime?!" There's been all sorts of allegations that Trump hates Netanyahu personally and he's rebuffed him and cursed him out numerous times and so on but to me it seems the Jews always get what they want in the end. It was alleged Trump initially refused to meet Bibi in connection to the Graham funeral, that at first Bibi cancelled his plans to attend as that meeting was his condition, but it happened anyway as usual.

No doubt Bibi and the rest will stress to Trump that the Iranian's have plans to kill him and his family, Melania, Barron etc to convince him to "destroy" Iran; use emotion and make it personal

I believe he thought he was stopping Iran from developing a nuclear weapon, and the timing was good because Israel was going to hit them anyway.

I also believe we underestimated the timeframe it would take to do this appropriately, and we should have hit them much harder, especially after they attacked a ship post "deal".

I also believe the ease of the Maduro campaign may have created some hubris that gave them increased confidence they could just do stuff like this everywhere.

Yes, and he and his hardest line supporters would actually believe it.  Unlike the rest of the world.

Problem is, Israel isn't going to let him do that.

I think after reading the articles on “why” he did it, I believe he did it because he thought it would bring regime change. I know many around him were saying it wouldn’t, but I think to him it made sense. Shit man, I thought it would lead to regime change. You had the mass uprisings over there, the mass killings of civilians and even the Shahs kid over here telling Iranians to rise up. It seemed ripe to topple with a little push. I think Trump, like you said with some hubris from the Maduro operation, thought it would be a pushover and he’d be hailed as the deal maker. Anyway, we’re fucked now and he looks like a bitch. Iran is in a stronger global position now than they were six months ago.

Ok thanks.

If we're to believe what Trump's saying he's irritated with Bibi, again... and again with the "very easily," when everyone says it's basically impossible to bomb the Pickaxe out of commission. You could bomb the entrances like last time though, but it doesn't destroy the facilities and the equipment and material. And that's even if there's even anything there, Trump said he was skeptical. Commentators are saying Netanyahu probably just made it up to keep Trump involved.

The problem, IMHO, is that just bombing harder obviously wasn't going to help according to the generals, or Trump would have ordered it, and it would have risked totally disrupting the oil supply. Trump said it himself, he believed he would have become Herbert Hoover if he didn't sign the shitty losing MoU. Even now with the resumption of bombing it was relegated to bombing only the western coastal areas so as not to make the Iranians bomb the Gulf's oil and water and energy; very careful not to go beyond a certain level by not attacking civilian infrastructure. The US knew Iranians would likely only do tit-for-tat. That's why I've been saying all this time the Iranians are very rational and not suicidal like some would have you believe. If they wanted to plunge the world into a catastrophic depression they could but the regime wants to survive and are not eager for the afterlife. And just like I thought they had lots of capacity left and still do; that they have been totally destroyed is just silly posturing by Trump, he knows better. I don't know if most people or even you have looked at the satellite images of just how much devastation Iran just caused US assets in the region, using missiles with much improved precision. Very, very bad as Trump would put it LOL. They could also have killed a lot of troops but it wouldn't have helped their case at this stage, although they did warn any civilians to move 500 meters away from any hotels or facilities housing US troops; they know the troops have moved out of the bases and I suspect they know exactly where too.

Maybe it's AI but I wouldn't bank on it...

Mr Trump succeeds when the other side chooses surrender over discomfort.
The Iranians know (and internalised) this
They also know it also works on Mr Trump
