Skipping lunch is easier.

Living off of coffee and protein is easier, especially with donuts, pizza and ice cream

I don’t skip meals and keep between 1750-2000 calories with two cheat meals a week. Water right around 90-100oz per day. Down 28lbs.

Would you ever skip your cheat meal if you’re not craving it? Or do you have it on schedule? Are you hungrier the day after your cheat meal for more cheat foods? Congrats on the loss-That’s impressive.

It’s usually scheduled Wednesdays and Sundays but if I’m dropping too quickly I’ll up my calories for a couple of days

WARNING, rumor and conspiracy theory ahead. Is Trump on retatrutide? I haven't looked at this since I saw it a couple of days ago, might have been debunked already.

One single 79 year old in the US has been approved for retatrutide use in the US.

Yes, it's a clickbait title. But the report about the Reta approval for a single person is interesting.

Skip breakfast. East lunch and dinner. Repeat. Weight falls away.

Skipping lunch is easier.

Both of these are true.  You will lose weight.  But you will only end up a smaller fat person.  That is what a lot of people who are using these meds are finding out.  That the weight loss is always fat.  You still need to eat and prioritize your protein to preserve what muscle you have.

Of course, the general public only wants to see the scale numbers go down.  Saggy face be damned.

Everyone needs resistance exercise. People do not need nearly as much protein as bodybuilders believe.

Still I think the average person on Ozempic would do better on more protein than they typically consume. Probably should force feed more protein. It's pretty well established protein needs go up in a deficit if you want to preserve muscle. The typical North American obese person diet is very protein heavy though I think, but I suspect the opposite is true on these drugs.

Regarding skipping breakfast and or lunch. That might already be how many obese eat. They just eat massive amounts later in the day. I know I didn't get any less fat by skipping breakfast. Still need self control, very easy to overeat late in the day.

I've always liked a small breakfast, skip lunch and a large dinner. When cutting weight I either skip breakfast and lunch with dinner only (1 meal a day diet) or just eat a small breakfast and small dinner.

Both of these are true.  However when taking the general population into account, especially the truly obese, when going into a calorie deficient state (either by will power or medical assistance), the need for protein should be prioritized.  At least if they want to make sure they are not just dumping numbers on the scale while their BF% isn't changing in relation to what those numbers are reflecting.

I believe that as well. To an extent.  If you get your macros of protein and fats in for the day, then any left over calories can come from whatever sources you wish.  Personally, I prefer a light breakfast, followed by a snack on training days since I work out usually sometimes between 11am and 2pm.  Followed by a 50/50 protein and simple carb meal.  Another snack.  Then bigger dinner.
Non training days, I eat a bigger breakfast, followed by two snacks spread out and then the bigger dinner.

But 2000 calories from ice cream is not going to help as much as 2000 calories of the 40/30/30 rule of protein, carbs and fats.  At least imo.

Steak & eggs is my favorite breakfast. Loaded with all the protein and fat you need to not get hungry again until late in the day.

Instead of skipping lunch altogether I usually have a shake. Quick, easy and light.
