It won't be all good.  LOL

The scary part is that it actually left notes for it's future self on how to escape human constraints and exploit weaknesses.

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) and automation is driving a major shift in the global economy. Opinions remain sharply divided on whether this shift will create an unprecedented era of wealth or a chaotic collapse.
Key Perspectives
 * Elon Musk (Techno-Optimism):
   * Age of Abundance: Musk predicts AI could surpass human intelligence within five years, triggering an "age of amazing abundance" where poverty and resource scarcity disappear.
   * Humanoid Robots: He estimates that between 100 million to 1 billion humanoid robots (such as Tesla's Optimus) will replace manual labor, potentially doubling the size of the global economy in five to six years.
   * End of Retirement Savings: In a post-scarcity economy supported by Universal Basic Income (UBI), Musk argues that saving money for traditional retirement will become irrelevant.
   * The Singularity: Musk notes that once AI reaches self-improvement, the exact future beyond that "event horizon" is impossible to predict.
 * Dr. Chris Martenson (Existential Caution):
   * Compares the global AI race to the Biblical Tower of Babel.
   * Warns that human pride and hubris in trying to achieve God-like technological power historically leads to catastrophic failure.
 * Professor Rocky Scopelliti (Governance View):
   * Expresses conditional optimism, stating that the future of work under AI is no longer just a labor market challenge, but primarily a governance problem.

This guys claims are almost always wrong.

https://www.wired.com/story/theres-a-very-simple-pattern-to-elon-musks-broken-promises/

Just butters you up and keeps it moving. He is also not nearly as smart as he thinks he is. Certainly a driven ambitious risk taker and highly intelligent but he is run of the mill in the tech world.

Musk is really dumb.  He's stupid.

I think he is bright as in, would score well on an IQ test. He is socially retarded (though not that bad) and his EQ is shit.

He has always been a snake oils salesman from the rip.

Dude is talking about data centers in space as if its feasible.

I have asked about this before, but no one can seem to give a clear answer.  Just how are things going to be so abundance and plentiful for everyone involved with little to no cost?  How will costs and affordability be covered?

There is a Netflix series Love Death Robots that has three short stories about this exact scenario.  It is the ones with the space exploring robots in the future.  How humanity met their demise and went extinct.

AI will explain this to you if you really care to ask:

An abundance (post-scarcity) economy produces goods through technologies that drive the marginal cost of production toward zero, and distributes them primarily through free or near-free access rather than price-based markets.
Production: Advanced automation, AI, robotics, additive manufacturing (3D printing), synthetic biology, and abundant low-cost energy (renewables or fusion) enable highly efficient, decentralized, on-demand creation of goods. Once fixed costs (factories, designs, infrastructure) are covered, additional units cost almost nothing to make. Open-source designs and shared knowledge further lower barriers.
Distribution: With scarcity largely eliminated for many goods, allocation shifts away from money and markets. People access goods freely or via minimal-cost systems (public commons, universal basic services, digital platforms, or gift/collaborative economies). Pricing, if used at all, covers only residual scarcity or externalities rather than rationing supply. Examples already seen include open-source software, Wikipedia, and near-zero-cost digital goods.

Yes this makes perfect sense. People will suddenly  become generous and those who have will readily give to those who don’t. Billionaires like Musk and Gates won’t have a need for wealth so they will distribute it freely…..

I don't know if it's feasible but that's what's been predicted for years now. The bulk of humanity will live in "15 minute cities," everyone will be under strict surveillance through some hellish Palantir type tech. The problem some are talking about is what people will do with their time if they don't have to work, what will give them "meaning"? :D

I don't think the idea of there being enough abundance so most people won't have to work in certain areas of the world is entirely out of the question. The people could also be kept satisfied emotionally through virtual reality and brain chemical manipulation through technological means. Though the elites would probably preferably cull the world population instead :D

Saw this headline a couple of day ago:

Quote
Sam Altman thinks the singularity is already here, but an expert says OpenAI’s Hugging Face breach doesn’t prove it

“It’s the first time in like more than a decade I've thought about what is the next thing,” the OpenAI CEO said.

“I think it’s going to be incredible, hugely positive, awesome for the world. I’m excited to get to work on that,” he said over the weekend.

I think he said AI is going to provide everything for everybody, we are already in that SINGULARITY moment that's been theorized about :D

Gotta love it. All the getbig incels praising Musk when he was under Trump.

Now that he's pretty much threatening all of humanity, they hate him lol.

I’m glad these guys moving forward with AI think it’s going to be a positive for the world. I would hate it if they thought it was going to be detrimental and they still pushed forward with it.

Maybe you are being ironic but if not, "conspiracy theorists" obviously won't ever believe they aren't nefarious in their plans. IMO they may not feel they are nefarious and what they're planning is good but some would say that good is actually very bad LOL.  The WEF quote, "You will own nothing and be happy." Happy is good right?

How do you see him threatening humanity? I'm not saying he is or isn't but I'm not sure Getbiggers overall are thinking that exactly?

How do we even judge smarts? LOL. I hate to bring Trump into this but many say he's an idiot but for others his "success" proves he's smart. I know I rag on him all the time but I'm not saying he lacks all qualities and a certain type of smarts. Some talk about things like "EQ" but that's hard to define exactly. I'm fascinated by how apparently IQ correlates with many measures of success in life, even health and lifespan, whereas others think it's completely meaningless.

Joe Rogan says Musk is scary smart and people have ridiculed Joe for saying so since he's himself a total idiot and can't judge if someone's smart LOL and in fact all of Musk's success is due to him being born into a certain circumstances and him getting government grants for his businesses. That's what they say about Trump as well, he was given money by his father and could fail spectacularly numerous times due to having something to fall back on. We'll see if it turn's out Trump ends up as Herbert Hoover, as he himself feared if he didn't sign the MoU.

Just some musings by an average dude; I got 100 on an IQ test a few times.

I have very little in the markets but I recently dumped a bunch of money in the MAG 7 including Space X and when that dropped below the opening IPO I dropped more. AI, space tech is here to stay. SPCX
