Iron Maiden

The Clairvoyant

There's a time to live and a time to die
When it's time to meet the maker
There's a time to live, but isn't it strange
That as soon as you're born, you're dying?

I looked up why some old people have that old people smell :D Declining endogenous antioxidant defenses. Perhaps that could be staved off via supplemental means.

That would be good. The smell is real for sure.

Mid 50's here and also in decline. No one gets better with age.

I think it has a lot to do with how you take care of yourself when young and how you carry that over into middle age. The average person eats potato chips because they feel hungry. They eat just to make the feeling go away. Clueless as to how their own body works. Sleep is also a huge part. Once you sleep less than 8 hours a night I think it catches up big time. Water is another factor. Most people I know hate drinking water as crazy as that sounds.

One of the most important factors is why you are doing what you’re doing and how much you enjoy it. Reasons for living.

I’ve been training since 16. No drugs, never smoked cigarettes and rarely drink alcohol. I’m 45 and most people think I’m in my early 30s.

For what it’s worth, I’m one of the bigger guys on here.

Some would say there’s no point to plan for the future if we’re all just going to get sick. Forget putting money in your 401(k). Just buy cheeseburgers and eat your retirement.

It's very real though some I mention it to don't know what I'm talking about. It has nothing to do with hygiene, it's a substance pproduced in the skin when antioxidant systems don't work as they used to.

My body held up pretty well until late 50's. Early 60's have been tough.
