Which actors are using or have in the past used steroids? Stallone immediately springs to mind for his Rocky and Rambo roles but are there any actors who are using them out of sheer vanity even although the part doesn't require a muscular physique?

I'm ganna through charlie sheen into the mix for his roles in hot shots theres no way that booz swiggling pill popper did it the hard way, the rock maybe back in the day but he is samoain and they are massive by nature so im not 100%

When actors beef up for a role and then comes down in size afterwards...

It makes you think.

Doesn't it, Nicolas Cage (that horrible bullshit airplane prisoner movie where Buscemi was supposed to be transformed into a nice guy after meeting a small girl, fat chance!!!).

Ed Norton in American History X, is another example. The problem for these guys would obviously to get that big and stay fairly cut.

Bulking up and putting on mass, not the biggest problem IMO.

I somehow doubt that there are as many as some people would make it out to be though.

I don't think Michael Clark(e?) Duncan uses roids

He has always ben a bis ass black dude but he never seemed unusually cut.

Nic Cage said in an interview he used anabolics for that movie he made w/David Caruso. I can't remember the name of it,but he (Cage) played an asthmatic criminal who owned a strip-club

Pit in troy... he wasent huge but remeber these people are on the go 24 -7... Im sure alot more than you would think use anabolics to make up for lack of diet sleep etc

During the health checkup scene in armageddon, Duncan appeared in posing trunks when told he had high cholesterol. Dude looked big and bloated. I'd guess 70/30 that he used something for that role.

Dolf Lungren (sp?). The guy who played in one of the Rocky movies. Also one of the worst actors I've ever seen.

I also disagree on Brad Pitt. The guy is just lean, he has no mass.
For a movie, these guys take six month and a nutritionist and a trainer, and then they just do what they are told.
They don't work for a living, they dedicate 24 hours a day to training and eating and resting.

Even Edward Norton wasn't THAT big in history X, there's also lighting and make up that provide a lot.

i think its a lot less than we care to think. dont forget these guys have to look a certain way or they dont get cast. if i was a multi millionaire i could afford any guru and trainer to make me look much better in 6 months.

also don't forget that Pitt and even Swayze have been working out for a long time.
i think that even Stallone only juiced for a few movies, maybe Rambo II/III and Rocky IV.

He still looked really good in his other movies, i think in the specialist and that one with sandra bullock and wesley snipes he was fucking shredded.

i'm not too sure on Arnold, but i agree on Jim Carrey. The guy looked sick in Pet Detective.
