Okay, we heard for months about how no company is going to give a cent to the PDI for the NOC. Well, the first list of sponsors is out, and it's legit. The show isn't going to go belly-up.

Ads? Mid-June, it'll be in at least 3 of the major fitness/BBing magazines. 1000+ flyers just went out.

Cancelled shows? Um, hello, Toronto? Kettle, meet pot.

Ticket sales? I can't confirm anything, but from what Keith/onlyme said, they've already outsold Colorado. At any rate, with only 1500 tickets to sell, and this much buzz/interest about the inaugural show, I don't think any logical person could suggest they won't sell a ton of tickets or likely sell out.

I know the athlete list is not yet complete, but guys are locked into contracts and still competing, so declaring PDI early would be placing suicide. And the guys who are there are interesting, exciting, and there are no GH guts to be found.

Point is.. Haters/doubters, Can you give us a new list of reasons why the PDI will fail? Your original list is falling to pieces, and the thought of competing in the PDI is suddenly looking more and more exciting for guys who never would have considered it months ago. The usual PDI bashers (you know who you 4 are!) have been very quiet lately

It will fail because the talent pool will not be richer than the IFBB , perhaps it would be at some point and time but it wont survive that grace period , bodybuilding hasn't really grown in the past 20 years , this past years Olympia has 6K max fans ? Haney had that back in 86 , what little fan base is out thier in my opinion may not want to gamble thier loyality on an unknown brand , the PDI may survive and if it does it will be bt word of mouth and I would like to see something different , but I don't forsee them matching the IFBB in quality , of course I could be very wrong.

I sent the IFBB a nice email explaining my reasons to go to PDI and everything and did i ever get a response NO.Typical IFBB.If i can find my letter in old mail i will post it for you all to see i have nothing against the IFBB.Just wanted a change.

Lee you're the best thing the PDI has , you're top of the foodchain , but chances of them scoring a bunch more caliber atheletes like you are slim , they may get another top name but you're as good as it gets for the PDI and to be honest I would like an alterative , I don't think you can be the greatest bodybuilder in the world with a distended gut , but in all reality I think the PDI has a very rough road ahead !!

You probably only went to the PDI hoping they will give you good placing cause you are their most known pro...

From wanting to retire to lunching a semi new career...hmm...want to be rememberd as the first "pdi mr.O"? Doubt that will happen even there.

The PDI talent pool will only become better after this years Olympia.Why?It will all depend on Ronnie Coleman himself.If, after being given his 9th mr O title (if in less than stellar condition),he states he will continue his "hobby" of yearly taking the O title, several of the O competitors will say to themselves "F&^K this" & go to the PDI

Furthermore, who is the IFBB's official spokesperson anyway?

If you're a younger IFBB guy... say, a DHenry, a Branch, a Gustavo, a Melvin...

Do you look at the HISTORY of the Mr Olympia, and realize that as soon as King Ron retires, there will likely be another dynasty, (and his name will probably be Phil Heath)?

Henry , Branch and Gustavo have all tased victory in the IFBB they've paid their dues they aren't going anywhere , they've arrived , it would be foolish to start over , never make a lateral move or a move backwards , Darrem & Melvin perhaps can be swayed but both seem content making a good living in the IFBB , PDI should court Richard Jones , he seems in limbo and the PDI criteria may suit his phsyique , and Jojo Ntiforo another guy with great potential , or Hamdullah Aykutlu , who was overalooked in the IFBB desite being among the most shredded guy ever !!

I like the comment about the IFBB talent pool. Hopefully that pool is deeper than 3 ft cause the pool is getting empty quick and it is weak. And as good as Lee is you guys are forgetting there are plenty of guys who have not yet been annouced and more coming all the time. Plus, Wayne does not recruit. He is allowing the competitors to call him and make the first initial contact. Richarf Jones was comtemplating coming to the PDI buthas decided to pursue his Masters which is about the smartest thign any bodybuilder has ever done. He does have the perfect physique to make the PDI popular and huge. But there are many others out their like him and they are coming to and thinking about the PDI first. Just wiat till you see and hear what I have planned to help. I guarantee the PDI will zoom zoom zoom with talent.

Look I dont know why or even understand why people would wish for PDI to fail......then the reason you come up with is so stupid it shows who really knows the history of Bodybuilding. The IFBB had its doubters in its early start but with good hard work and the American dream it worked out....many of you keep bringing up the WFB well its was a great attempt. many of you who come up with these thoeries sound so stupid. makes me wounder if you ever passed History class....You talk about wayne demelia as if you know him but all you do is repeat crap you over herd or read. you have never done business with him you not an IFBB pro so what can you say.

I will tell you this.....when Shawn ray complained about Wayne he was fighting against an employee of a business that was being ran by Joe and Ben weider but you never herd of shawn taking his compliant and issues to the man who could more than likely nip it in the Butt.

Im through....I give my best wishes to the PDI and the IFBB and any other santin that wishes to become part of the american captilist sytem oh wait a minuet isnt the IFBB HQ in canada.....EHHHH.
