Look I dont know why or even understand why people would wish for PDI to fail......then the reason you come up with is so stupid it shows who really knows the history of Bodybuilding. The IFBB had its doubters in its early start but with good hard work and the American dream it worked out....many of you keep bringing up the WFB well its was a great attempt. many of you who come up with these thoeries sound so stupid. makes me wounder if you ever passed History class....You talk about wayne demelia as if you know him but all you do is repeat crap you over herd or read. you have never done business with him you not an IFBB pro so what can you say.

I will tell you this.....when Shawn ray complained about Wayne he was fighting against an employee of a business that was being ran by Joe and Ben weider but you never herd of shawn taking his compliant and issues to the man who could more than likely nip it in the Butt.

Im through....I give my best wishes to the PDI and the IFBB and any other santin that wishes to become part of the american captilist sytem oh wait a minuet isnt the IFBB HQ in canada.....EHHHH. ::)

I agree that wishing that PDI will unfold, isn't making any sense. Competition will make it better for the athletes, hopefully.

There are persons associated with the IFBB critiscising the PDI, and doing it aggresively.

But the same can be said for both onlyme and 240.

They've been bashing IFBB endlessly for some time now. And so it happens that they are both involved in PDI. Which, in retrospect, makes their opinions on IFBB seem driven by an agenda.

That shit ain't cool either IMO.

I think it goes both ways. Keep both organisations straight.

But using negative PR, making your own organisation look better by trying to make the other look like shit, is only bringing down bodybuilding as a whole.

Concentrate on making your own product the best it can be. That will bring out supporters and avoid bad blood.

I have hopes for the PDI. And I think the IFBB is going to have to improve thanks to this new fed.

Whatever the outcome, this could mean a stop to the slow death of bodybuilding.

I don't see where I am bashing the IFBB when all I do is state facts and things that have actually happened.  The people on here who bash the PDI are bashing something that hasn't even happened yet and making it sound like a failure before it happens.  What I am doing is supporting an organization that at least has some integrity and cares about BB and it's athletes.  Where as the IFBB has done nothing to show they care at all.  Sanctioning events does not show any kind of support to the athletes.  Charging them a fee to be a member yet give nothing in return does not show support.  Not willing to change obvious problems does not show support.  It is a fact the IFBB has been going backwards.  It is showing in there shows.  I could care less about the IFBB but when people come on here and defend an organization with the background and image the IFBB does and how the IFBB is doing just about anything they can to stop Wayne and the progress of the PDI then I am helping the underdog.

why would an investor in the IFBB want the PDI to fail if the IFBB engine is failing

Okay, we heard for months about how no company is going to give a cent to the PDI for the NOC. Well, the first list of sponsors is out, and it's legit.  The show isn't going to go belly-up.

Ads?  Mid-June, it'll be in at least 3 of the major fitness/BBing magazines.  1000+ flyers just went out.

Cancelled shows? Um, hello, Toronto? Kettle, meet pot.

Ticket sales?  I can't confirm anything, but from what Keith/onlyme said, they've already outsold Colorado.  At any rate, with only 1500 tickets to sell, and this much buzz/interest about the inaugural show, I don't think any logical person could suggest they won't sell a ton of tickets or likely sell out.

I know the athlete list is not yet complete, but guys are locked into contracts and still competing, so declaring PDI early would be placing suicide.  And the guys who are there are interesting, exciting, and there are no GH guts to be found.

Point is.. Haters/doubters, Can you give us a new list of reasons why the PDI will fail?  Your original list is falling to pieces, and the thought of competing in the PDI is suddenly looking more and more exciting for guys who never would have considered it months ago.  The usual PDI bashers (you know who you 4 are!) have been very quiet lately ;)  Getting your resumes ready?

What's wrong with the old list as to why the PDI will fail ;D

Belly up inside of three two years...

WBF went down in a little over two  and this PDI side show does not have the type of money behind it that the WBF had.

I have a question, give me an example of the target group one would send a 1000 " Flyers " to.

The Beef.

How many years did Wayne have the Olympia.  How many people go to the Olympia.  Multiply that and the number is pretty damm good.  Please the others over 20+ years.

Wayne made money cause he promoted the most shows and the biggest.  I know exactly how much he made on the Olympia's.  So, no one should worry about bounced checks at the events.

Why can't both coexist?  Like in auto racing, you have NASCAR, Formula 1, CART, NHRA, etc.  So what's wrong with PDI, IFBB, WXYZ.....?

Because, unlike Autoracing, Bodybuilding is NOT POPULAR!!!!!

There are only a handful of us that actually care about this and it seems like less and less care at all.

If you asked your average 18 to 25 year old male 10 or 20 years ago to name some bodybuilders, they could easily Arnold, Franco, Lou, Dorian, Shawn, Flex maybe even Kevin Levrone.

Nobody cares anymore, that is why if they split the fan base they (the IFBB) thinks that both entities will fail in the long run.
