lance IS juiced to the gills, but he just doenst lift weights, thats all.
but i tell you, he's a walking pharmacy too.
Do you have inside information on Lance? Just curious, since I am good friends with Steve Bauer, his ex team mate (and silver medallist at the 84 LA Olympics in the road race). I asked Steve point blank about drug use on Motorola, where they were team mates. Steve said he never saw any evidence of it, and has know Lance since he was a teenager. Of course, if you are the best in any sport these days, you must be on drugs, correct? You couldn't be working hard and be gifted.
Lance has been studied by Ed Coyle of the Human Performance Lab in Austin Texas for the better part of 7 years. His paper on Lance can be seen at :
http://www.edb.utexas.edu/coyle/content/armstrong%20article%20JAP.pdf Coyle has done a tremendous amount of blood testing on Lance. Of course, Lance was probably on all sorts of dope but Coyle wouldn't publish that, right?
The speculation that Lance was on drugs was advanced by David Walsh, an Irish journalist. He was interviewed by a cycling periodical, Velonews, regarding those accusations:
http://www.velonews.com/news/fea/6295.0.html Walsh won't publically declare if he thinks Lance was on performance enhancing drugs. Funny, but he would write a book insinuating it. Interestingly Walsh wrote a fawning book about Sean Kelly, the great Irish racer. Sean did test positive for amphetamines several times in his career, including attempting to switch urine samples at a drug control during one race. Walsh has nothing but praise for Sean though.
And what about the French newspaper L'Equipe? According to them, Lance's frozen urine samples form 1999 tested positive for EPO. But, of course, it turns out that the French Lab couldn't shown any chain of custody or proof they weren't tampered with after all those years. But it must be Lance's samples, and he was on dope , right? L'Equipe never wrote any disparaging stories about Richard Virenque, the retired French mountain climber ace who raced nearly the same years as Lance. Richard admitted in court that he used EPO, as well as heroin and cocaine (the pot belge mixture). Richard is OK though cause the French woman adore him, and that sells lots of papers. An American who absolutely crushes the record of wins in your French national treasure, the Tour de France, a record that probably will never be broken, well, he really was on dope and doesn't count. That sells lots of papers too.
Enough of this drug talk. Lets get back to professional bodybuilding.
