Haha, I forgot all about "Huge Pecs" and his "Yeah I bench 500+ and weigh 195 what of it? It's no big deal."
hahahaha, every other poster in that thread does 405 plus, where do these guys live in Benchopolis.
Most I've ever seen in a gym was 360lbs - tall dude and large framed.

That is hard to believe. Although 360 is a heavy weight, all in all, it isn't uncommon to see guys left much more than that in a gym. What type of gym (atmosphere) do you lift in?
I've seen one guy in my life regularly bench 495 for 1 or 2 reps. He was a competitive powerlifter and had some sort of shirt but I don't know anything about that stuff. Other than that I've rarely seen anyone do more than 315.
I just find that hard to believe. Maybe the two gyms I have trained in just have some strong mofos there. I have seen guys bench over 500 lbs...absolutely insane to watch. I have seen guys rep 315 daily at my old gym....not as common in the gym I'm at now, but still done by many. I just wonder what most gym goers see as a strong bench.
Coach did 535 @ 181lbs yet "only" benched 405x7?
I have never actually done 405 x 1 Instead I do sets of 8-10 reps with 320
I am in Ireland. Its 2x44lbs plus a 44lb bar then the 2x5.5lb plates and then the 1lb collars lolSmall increments seem to work lol
What's wrong with using the 2.5s?
