Regular price is $1.43. They used to go on sale for $1.00 but lately the sale price is $1.25. I never seem to stock up on enough.
People who eat the traditional style with the bones and skin (yuck) eat it as is. They don't pick through it. The bones are very soft and not at all dangerous like a normal fish bone. Good calcium source.
Then again, I think the people who use the traditional style are making things like salmon patties and loaf.
wow, i would love for the boneless cans to be 1.00. I pay that for albecore when it goes on sale.
yeah the bones actually crumble with your fingers. if your carefull, you can easily pick out the major bone, and just shread it up with your fingers to crush any remaining bones. actually i like the skin, so for me its no big deal. just the bones are a pain.
actually, i dont make salmon patties. i just split a can in 3 servings by eye. then i just wrap each serving up in a paper towel, then just put all of them in some rubbermaid. when i need approx. 25 grams of protein, i just whip one out and mix it with my favorite thing at the time, which is more than likely just rice.
but i want to try the boneless skinless version, just to taste the difference.
also superman if your reading this. you got some crazy diet man. first the tuna...now your kfc thread. just take it easy on the tuna.
