For my 2000th post , i decided to give back to GetBig as I have taken so much from it. In saying that I wish to start a thread for neubies to come out and introduce themselves and tell us what they think of GetBig.....

I heard about this place on that radio show that Dan Solomon hosts. I get it on Podcast. Thought it may be valuable to communicate with other bodybuilding nerds. Turns out it's just a bunch of geeks posing as tough guys on the 'net just like every other message board. Love it.

yes i am a newbie and i am shocked at some of the comments, i know a couple of the ifbb guys from back in the 80's and 90's and have been around the scene since then i know what a sacrifice they's guys make to get in the shape they are in family,friends,job,health,time and i know from reading some of these post they have no idea, so love these guys or hate them you should respect them. and yes i am old fat and out of shape!

Onlyme has a good reason for being out of shape...something that was completely out of his control. Almost dying might do that to anyone.

I've worked in the industry for a few years. Know some of the pros. Attend most shows. Will be stepping on stage next year for the first time. The entertainment value of these boards are enough to keep me coming back. I'll throw my two cents in from time to time.

I don't know how to? I just learned how to post a link yesterday. I have a scanner, but I really don't have any good pics of me shirtless. No digital camera either. I could go over to my ex gf's and grab some vacation pics from her. But how would I explain that? "yeah, I just wanted a few pics so I could show some dudes I chat with online?" I will figure it out. Not to prove anything, just to enter the contest.
