side note many years ago early one sat morning, i was roused by a timid knock at my apartment door and opened it slightly to find this hot girl, she wanted to know if she could talk to me about god and normally that results in a no thank you have a nice day try someone else response but she was hot but as i opened the door there were two other dudes,dam fell for it but they were nice gave them about 10 min and then they left...bait and switch..

Jehovah's Witnesses ran over my dog IN MY DRIVEWAY.

I'm sure they had never heard such language before and they've not dared to step foot on my property since.

You're lucky they didn't try the foot in the door trick.

The don't mind people who ply their trade door to door.

My only objection is the proselytizing and arrogant self-righteous moralizing that often accompanies door-to-door ministries. If someone can acknowledge & accept the fact that I might not believe as they do, and am entitled my own beliefs without looking at me like I'm stricken with a terminal disease, or going to HELL, fine. If not, get away from my door.

Wasnt Joseph Smith the guy that predicted that Jesus would return to earth, and all of his followers waited around and nothing happened. He was so ashamed he wanted to quit preaching but he figured he had the wrong date and would give it another try?

no but they are not inforcing the law, there are whole towns controlled by "religious" figureheads tha promote fixed marriages and marrage to minors and multi wives...they just did a dateline or something on it recently, plus i have seen it first hand.
