I stopped by a supp. store this morning on the way in to pick-up a couple of things. I noticed a middle aged guy with a whole push shopping cart full of stuff (had to be $300 worth of stuff) being led around the store by some 150lb X-small t-shirt wearing, too much hair gel glopping dude. When lil skinny went to the back for something, the customer asked my opinion on a particular product. I just flat told him it was garbage, as was a lot of what he had in his cart. He just said, "Really? I don't know much about this stuff and I'm just getting started. And you look like you know much more than that kid in the back." I just laughed and told him to go buy some real food with the majority of his money and maybe pick-up a small amount of things. When lil skinny comes back the guy picks up a couple of things (a multi-vitamin at my request) and a couple of bars and tells the lil guy that I said he didn't need the other stuff. Lil skinny gets all fired up after the guy leaves and says I cost him commision money. I just laughed and left.

i bet the real story was that you got pissed because most of the stuff in the cart was what you were looking for, and when he left you picked that up and bought it yourself

the ripple effect of your intervention is that a supplement company somewhere will have to drop one of its "athletes." (so if a bodybuilder suddenly loses his contract with MuscleTech we'll know why.)

Great. I never thought of it that way. I think I will go spend my lunch break hanging out at the supp. stores and telling people to go to the local grocery store instead.

Great story! Sounds like the gel-haired dolce/gabana cologne wearing 14'' arm w/ tribal band clerk had a nervous MELTDOWN for losing is $10 commission and his quota of selling a Gold Card.
