Hey everyone,

I'll be on the radio today (WLS AM 890-The Roe Conn Show) a little after 6 PM Chicago time talking about the upcoming Gay Games. I'll be in the physique or bodybuilding portion of the Gay Games. No I am not gay...the radio station is sponsoring me for this event.

Seriously, you want want to see if you can get it sent to you in mp3 format. Many DJs will do that, and it could be something you use later, for your resume, portfolio, etc.

the Gay Games is a sporting event held every four years since 1980. It was founded by 1968 Olympic decathlete Tom Waddell. The first one was called Gay Olympics, but the USOC sued. This time it is in Chicago IL, last time was Sydney NSW.

Gays and straights are welcomed, and it is common for the team sports like softball to be mixed. They have bodybuilding categories which are included at MuscleMemory. They have pairs categories, both mixed and same sex.

I do not see the point to having such an event. What is the need for gay games? Yes, yes, raise awareness and all of that crap, but why even call it the "gay games" when straights can compete as well? I mean, you might as well have an event called "The American Indian games" but let everybody else compete as well. Now how much sense would that make?
