I love Dorian too, but there's no way he "completely dominated" NAsser in 96 or 97. NO WAY. NAsser beat him from the front.

Im not a pro but as far as i know bout bb'ing... it doesnt matter if a bb'er is at a relaxed mode, they can have the suckiest body part, but as long as they can strike the pose and hit it... the judge will see that it's symmetrical and qualifies for points then ALL IS FAIR GAME!!

nasser in 96 doesnt count bc he was d'qued. 

as far as 97, i have the video of it and it is quite apparent that yates won.  it looks closer between nasser and dorian in pics, but on video, it's much different.

Its funny you should say that becuase I too have the video. Looking at the pcitures I thought Dorian dominated but after watching the contest I was far less convinced. Dorian's arm was fucked - both bicep and tricep were torn. He was bloated. NAsser on the other hand was flawless. Dorian's back was obviously better, but that was it. Sonbaty was bigger than Yates too.

Actually Nasser wasn't bigger than Dorian they both weighed 270lbs and Dorian looked bigger in some shots too and Nasser did have him from the front but Dorian had him from the side & back which is why I guess they picked him , and whats ironic is no one knew his tricep was torn , unlike the bicep which everyone knew about before hand .

i was more convinced after seeing the video.  dorian really blew nasser away during the quarter turns and other poses when the camera zoomed in.  yates was thicker, harder, and had more detail.  no one knew his tricep was torn, and no one can still tell. 

nasser looked great,  but it just wasnt enough to beat yates.  i also have the 98 arnold video, and nasser looked amazing.  best i've ever seen him.

I know he didn't tell anyone until after the contest, but if you look at his arm, the tricep doesnt look right

his arm looked like one of those underdeveloped gimp arms

it's sad that it was so downhill for Nasser from there
