I strongly recommend there be a "Best Poser" award. I suggest each competitor video record their posing routine and email it for official judging. I believe this would bring the Mr. Getbig to a more professional status. Anyone agree? I'm already working on a posing routine for preparation for the possibility of there being one.

yes - we have $200 and a free Rusty Jeffers DVD for the person who submits the best posing routine.  I'm sure we'll work out a second and 3rd place for those too.  posing routine, i'd guess, should be 2 minutes or less.  Send me the video clip and I'll host it.

perhaps this is the section we let the world vote on?  might be cool to let the GB audience decide who the best poser is!

Yah if one were so inclined they could dress up as a gladiator and pretend to be a conquering hero.  That is too gay for my tastes,but the creativity could go far and provide some great entertainment.

Good call TA.  IMO, maybe we should take height out of it- make all competitors the same height, for comparison purposes?  

I don't know...If you make a 5'3" guy the same height as a 6' guy you're kinda distorting reality.  I think you should make them equivalent to their real world proportionality - as if they were actually standing next to each other on stage.  That way you will get an accurate judgment of their size and relation to the other competitiors.

For example, a 6-foot (72 in) guy would be made to appear 5 inches on the computer screen...and a 5'3" (63 in) guy would be 4.4 inches.

The scale for this example is   1:0.06944  (or 0.06944 inch represents 1 inch in real life).

That's in proportion.  Let me know if you need any help with the scaling.

I may not post a lot but i've been here since 240 was 140

and.......i've actually been at at the judging tables for over a dozen bodybuilding shows.

not for nothing but this "contest" is going to turn out to be a who takes better pictures contest/popularity contest between the members.  That is why real bodybuilding contests sit judges out when a competitor in a specific class is somehow related to a judge, either personally or as a trainer/client relationship.  

Not to mention, there are no testing measures in place for drug testing ***chuckle*** or weigh ins.  How would we even know if the pics are current?  If you all are that serious about your bodybuilding then maybe you should get into one of your local shows, and just post the pics from you on the stage winning the overall.  

Mr. Getbig in my opinion is just going to be Mr. Big Ego.  This board is a magnet for internet trolls, and couch potato fatass middle aged nobodys who maybe used to work out and now they go to the gym twice a week to do some benchpresses and curls, check out girls (or young boys), and tell people how things were "back in the day".  Then they go home and sit their lonely ass in front of the computer and eat 6 detour bars while surfing porn and getbig.com, turning the bottom of their keyboard tray into something that resembles the surface of a krispy kreme (which is certainly better than having them procreate).  Meanwhile, there are those few that actually try to use the board for actual workout advice, maybe some nutrition tips, and honest evaluations of supplements that other people have tried.  People that follow some sort of regular workout regimen and are trying to better themselves.  

I am certain that this does not encompass more than a small fraction of the people here, but what is it that this contest is going to really establish?  Bragging rights?  Some meaningless title and gear money for some juicer??  The bodybuilding community laughs at getbig enough already, and Kleenex has not made enough tissues for all the crybabies that will come out of this as losers.  Granted, that will probably provide more than infinite amounts of ammunition for meltdowns and flaming threads about the outcomes, who screwed who over...not to mention all the new pics for the rest of the trolls here to photoshop and make jokes about.  I guess it may be worth it solely for the entertainment aspects of the results.

I don't think the competitors are taking themselves too seriously.  This contest is purely for fun.  But you have to admit...there are some pretty SERIOUS prizes.
