A King, His Kitchen and his "H" frame...
« on: July 21, 2006, 04:01:46 PM »
Why does this clown always post these pictures taken in his kitchen WHY???? Is his anabolic window so small that he has to always be near the refrigerator for a protein fix? Is he afraid someone might steal his stash of "special supplements"?  Is he grounded by his wife to the kitchen? Does his camera only work in the kitchen???? You know he reads these boards so why does he keep doing the same stupid kitchen photos show after show?? And aren't bodybuilders supposed to have an "X" frame and not an "H" frame. Or maybe he's just trying to get his physique to match the Hummer he's always talking about...

I'm just speaking hypothetically here... but you don't get endorsements unless you're new & exciting, controversial, and/or you win something.

Since there is nothing new or exciting here (I'm going to beat George Farah?), and nothing controversial (I'm crazy enough to take legal action, beyotches), and a pro win is certainly not attainable (when the goal of the year is an O qualification, you're not exactly tier 1 or 2), you have to find a way to generate buzz.

X-week out pics is the tactic employed when all else fails.

Once this has been milked and no longer viable, the next step is to start a real estate career and simlutaneously become a MMA master by challenging someone on the other side of the world to a match, which will continually be postponed due to minor injuries and scheduling problems.

It's all downhill from here.

LOL

I  was just going to ask the question what ever happened with the 240 v. King beef.

Is it fair to say that King is not taking you to court or publicly humiliating you for "the whole world to see".

King's predictions regarding ownings of 240 are almost as bad as these humdingers....

1) My career has just begun (at 33 yrs), when i'm done, people will say.....Shawn who (reference to Ray)
2) I will be the next mr. olympia (qualified for 1 show)
3) I will finish in the the top 5 at this olympia (finished 17th)

That's the only place that is clean enough to take pictures of his house.. Coincidentally, he has a wife.

Hype is fun, it can lead to many opportunities, and it makes things interesting.  But hype always has to culminate in something - you can't hype forever.  Eventually you need to deliver a product to the world.  The road has to lead somewhere.  You have to have a few victories to stand upon.

IMO, King would be best served to fake an injury (if he doesn't get an O quali, his rep really takes a hit, and if he does, he will likely finish last), start focusing on a clothing / supplement line / PT / video / etc before his stock drops any further.

You're exactly right. Kamali has definitely got to accomplish something soon. There's no way he can build a career just by being the IFBB pest.

What King needs to do, is sign with BBing.com. Then, they can make up a contest for Kamali to win, ala Bob C.

And maybe they can have it in King's kitchen. He's undefeated there.....

What is even funnier, is in his stupid "King's Rant" colunm a few issues ago, he had his review for the pro shows, in there he made the statement that "Ronnie only has a year or so left, and Cutler is definetly beatable, that lights a fire under mine and many asses in the IFBB"

Cutler may be beatable by 2 or 3 guys, but KAMALI is NOT ONE OF THEM..........This kid couldn't even carry
Jay's gym bag, he hasn't qualified for the Mr. O in years........but now he is going to beat Cutler??

It's a good thing he did make some real estate investments because his IFBB career is almost OVER!

King the clown needs to stick to calling out guys he actually has a chance in hell of beating. Didn't he call out David Henry in one of his "King's Rant" columns? And didn't David Henry smoke his ass at the New York Pro? King is delusional.

He claims on his website that the kitchen lighting is the worst lighting he has availabe for pictures of himself prior to a show. He thinks that despite the poor lighting, he still looks great in the pictures. meaning that on stage he will look that much better. Truthfully, the reason he does actually take the pictures in the kitchen IS because he feels that the lighting there makes him look the best for pictures.

To be honest I like King. Name another 3rd tier BB that gets this much attention?

it must really hurt to be playing Class A player when you talk crap like a major league person.

As others have pointed out his rants are a desperate cry for attention since body can't generate any

There's one at a gym i go to and even as a sub 150lbs ab shooter I look monsterous underneath it.  They create very strong shadows, showing off seperation.

The problem isn't necessarily all the garbage he talks. At some point you have to back up all that talk. Win something, anything, and then run your mouth. Until then, he's just another loud mouth with inferior kitchen lighting.
