The root of the problem is the drugs and everything associated around it.  The majority of people who follow bodybuilding DO NOT use drugs.  The majority of people who work out at gyms DO NOT use drugs.  The majority of people who buy any products that bodybuilders endorse DO NOT use drugs.  With the drugs also comes the gay for pay(how some bodybuilders pay for their drugs),finding a way to illegally use drugs in mass quantities, only doing shows if they have enough money for drugs.  Then you have the sub-sub-culture that follows with the recreational drugs,the grey area in which bodybuilders use other drugs such as nubain pretending it is helping with pain...etc....

Its a big fucking mess.

How can anyone want to aspire to live that kind of life? They can`t,don`t and won`t.  Other sports are popular because people can relate and have more of a connection to.  There is a possibility of anyone becoming successful based on their own hard word.  In this fucked up sport, you don`t have any chance at reaching the top unless you accept drugs.  Most people DO NOT want that.

You are all bad for the sport actually.

I guess I just can't see why you continually dispute the relevance of these economic principles which apply in every other business model in America. 

I make a point that competition between firms is good for athletes.  You attack the new competitor.  An athletes rep in ANY other sport would be thrilled to have a competing org. appear out of nowhere.  A bargaining chip falling out of the sky!

I guess I just see this as an opportunity that you can't shoot in the foot fast enough, and I don't get it. 

And I (and many others) have continuously pointed out that it may NOT be good for the athletes, which you choose to ignore.

So far...it's not remotely close to being a "competing" organization, and there is certainly no bargaining chip. The WBF was a bargaining chip as they were PAYING their athlete's a good chunk of change to switch to their federation...

You got motherfuckers with no kidneys competing.  A bunch of hoodlums doing tricks for drug money. Competitors freezing up on stage, competitors being hospitalized, Pros selling drugs of all kinds.  You mean to tell me your whip-dee-fucking-doo 4000 dollar pay increase really makes that much of a difference?

And to brag about the competitors getting $4,000 is absolutely one of the funniest things ever.  Why Chic do you take credit for this.  Lets say you were 100% the reason this happened.  It is NOT something to brag about.  Why do you or if anyone else think this is allot of money or even anything.  It is almost an embarrasement to get paid this amount.  Getting nothing is almost as good.  Instead of getting these guys pennies go after dollars.  You know how much the IFBB gets for the Olympia.  WhY do they have to get that much money for a sanction fee.  Set it at what Lorimar pays.  There is no reason why the IFBB needs that kind of outrageous amount for a sanction fee.  That will free up over $200,000 more dollars to distribute to the competitors.  Do that and impress everyone.  I guarantee you do that you will have more than 3 people at the meetings you call.  Why does the IFBB put on a cheaper show yet only increase the prize money $40,000.  The save way more than that doing the show at the Orleans.  Wayne had the Mandalay Bay paid up through 2004.  He paid the deposit and even left the staging and lighting there for the AMI to use. Yet the chose not to use his lighting and staging but used Wayne's deposit he had on th Mandalay Bay.  They chose to spend money on additonal staging and lighting.  Why did they wast the money on that show.  They wanted to completely get away from anything Wayne did yet the used his deposit.  He left it there for them just like the other stuff but instead of paying the deposit themselves they used his.  Just interesting stuff the IFBB does to save money and waste money at the same time.

So here is your mission if you chose to accept it.  Tell the IFBB to lower the sanction fees for the Olympia and use that extra money to increased the prize money.  Make the lower standings get a minimum of $10,000 with a stipulation they need to look good or whatever.  And increase the top 10.  You'llhave all kinds of guy on your side and maybe they will show up to your meetings.

Bob, personally I think it's great that the price money is increasing, regardless of where it comes from. I think the minimum payout should at least be $7K so competitors truly break even.

Because the speculation is that he backed out to go back to the ifbb. I am sorry Vinny, but I have to do this. According to Vinny, he tore is biceps tendon. This is the reason why he is not competing, not because he is doing the usa's or some other show. He e-mailed me yesterday telling me that he can't train for 4-6 weeks so he is out. He also said he had himself in 2nd or 3rd and that he was bummed because he could use the money. He then e-mail me again and asked me to keep it quite and vague, because it is his personal business and wants to keep it private. Why? I am sorry Vinny, but your actions and need explaining, because I for one, will not stand by, and watch everyone gloat. Unless there is another reason that I don't know why you would want to keep it quite?

Funny that  you mention Chick, because he takes a lot of crap on here that is not necessary.  I get so tired of Priest getting sucked off so much when he is of the most dishonest dudes around.
